Consider me in - the story here should NOT be the Marine shooting - it should become the MSM and their obsession with comdemning the military! At some point, this has to stop. The enemy in this case is well-aware of how to use media coverage and our own media is supplying them with everything they need!

I am - like many here no doubt - outraged as well. I do not know why our soldiers must be held to a 'convention of behavior' - at least one that does not consider that the enemy they must fight; holds to none. . .NO rules of engagement.

I would also like to know; just who the embedded photographer was that took this picture and turned it over first to the or (his) media outlet; rather than opting to have the Military first make a determination re this action.

This again; hurts our soldiers; their efforts; their morale. . .and further jeopardizes their lives and any and all Americans who are within a terrorist's reach.

Do these photographers/media NOT have to hold to any rules of engagement themselves?

This is why I am suspicious of embedded reporters.

Gentlemen, I'm not a guy but I'm with you on this and will do anything I can to help....just tell me what please.

From the tape I saw this morning, it looks like the guy on the ground was holding a gun or something on the stomach of the guy he was laying against.

Ollie North hit the nail on the head last night when he pointed out that the animals conducting beheadings and torture aren't receiving the scrutiny that this soldier is getting.

I'm not sure I would be able to stick to the so called rules of war after finding human slaughterhouses and disemboweled bodies either.

I agree... These insurgents do not fight fair... This one could have had a bomb strapped to himself... You have to fight as dirty as the other guy to win anyways...

We are not fighting an organized uniformed army in Fallujah. We are fighting radical terrorists that don't obey any rules according to the Geneva Convention. If they want to booby trap themselves then they should all prepare to be shot on the spot if they do not comply.

The liberal elitists in the mainstream media are looking for another Abu Ghraib. They lost the election and they still want our country to fail.

Be interesting to see how long these foreign insurgent terrorists have been in Fallujah? What was their relationship all along with Saddam? and how are liberals going to feel knowing that international terrorism is a reality as they continue to be on
the wrong side of history?

When it comes to the media remember this Ann Coulter quote."We've finally given liberals a war against fundamentalism, and they don't want to fight it. They would, except it would put them on the same side as the United States."

Besides haven't some of the terrorists we released from Cuba been known to be out killing again and joining their radical fundamentalists to threaten our
existence? Sooner or later liberals and the elitist mainstream media are going to have to make a painful choice on who's human rights are more important. The
rights of Innocent civilians or terrorists. Its amazing that they would take their ends justifies the means policy this far. They better hope that some angry Marines don't arrive back to the USA and open up a can of woop ass in their cozy liberal magical thinking office world they live in.

I fully agree. These insurgent scumbags were hiding out in a mosque ("religion of peace" worship hall) with the specific intent of killing our troops. I don't blame the Marine at all for doing what he did. Heck, he had been shot in the face the day before, and was back out fighting. He gets a big thumbs up from me. I will e-mail Senator Warner and the White House to show my support for this brave young man.

I couldn't agree more. We need to support this guy like the hero he is!!

We need to get started on this NOW. Dan Rather and Mary Mapes are probably already on the ground in Iraq investigating as we speak.

Imus was quite supportive of the soldier this morning. He said something on the order of "and this is why people hate the main stream media". He made it quite clear that

1. The soldier in question was not part of the group that had treated the wounded earlier.

2. The soldier in question had just got shot in the face that morning.

3. One of the soldiers in his unit had been killed the day before by a terrorist pretending to be wounded.
