I am - like many here no doubt - outraged as well. I do not know why our soldiers must be held to a 'convention of behavior' - at least one that does not consider that the enemy they must fight; holds to none. . .NO rules of engagement.

I would also like to know; just who the embedded photographer was that took this picture and turned it over first to the or (his) media outlet; rather than opting to have the Military first make a determination re this action.

This again; hurts our soldiers; their efforts; their morale. . .and further jeopardizes their lives and any and all Americans who are within a terrorist's reach.

Do these photographers/media NOT have to hold to any rules of engagement themselves?

Agree with you wholeheartedly. What the f is the media doing letting this type of stuff out. This is war, not a game of tag. These soldiers are fighting TERRORISTS, not insurgents, not men in military uniforms fighting by some accepted terms of engagement. These terrorist are firing on our soldiers, the good guys, from inside religious buildings, faking injury or death to then take out as many of the good guys as possible. They are planting explosives on dead bodies. These terrorist should receive no quarter. Get the f'n embeds outta there - now.

Agreed...and let's not forget the fact that this "reporter" (hate to use the word) was provided safety and cover by the very same brave men he is "reporting" against...makes me wonder if he is still with the same unit. I'm guessing he's not very popular with them right now. It sickens me...
