Marine accused of wrongful shooting needs our help...
16 nov 04 | Atlanta

Posted on 11/16/2004 4:34:34 AM PST by Atlanta

I'm going to start with a communication of support of this young Marine, to the Commandant of the Marine Corps himself. Then, President Bush and my Senator/Congressman.They are going to hear from me and I have all friggin day to do it. I am so livid about this that words cannot describe. As a former Marine myself, this young "Leather" was doing what he was trained to do, adapting to unreasonable circumstances (enemy tricks) and he did exactly what I would have done and what has always been done with a fanatical enemy. If authorities hang this Marine out to dry, I will never stop raising hell and will become a point man for pulling these guys out of theater entirely...MSM is SICK. Other suggestions?

I agree, but it needs to go to the top. President Bush can end this jihad against our military by the MSM.

Turning the tape over to the proper authorities doesn't get you a promotion.

don't worry, if the military screws him, I'm sure Bush will pardon him.

Amazing isn't it? Our guys a fighting absolute savages, savages who cut the heads off of innocents because God told them to, and a marine gets hung out to dry for shooting the slime from twenty feet away not 500 feet. If he shot him from that distance he would be a hero. War doesn't make sense and we shouldn't try to make sense of it. These reporters are looking for praise from their networks. Back our troops, please. We don't don't butcher innocent by standers as a rule.

Is this guy still embedded? I wouldn't want to be him if he is. His panty wetting a$$ is probably celebrating his footage. Damn I hate the media. We are entirely too nice to bad people we need to kill. If I was in charge I would send all media homos back to bagdad international to await a plane. Oh yeah! Here is the keys to your half fueled humvee find the airport yourself a$$bags. What do you mean you want us to protect your departure. Sorry we need all the troops we got here now that we are down a few due to an investigation. Besides you can show them your PRESS Badge. Have fun boys. See your sorry a$$ body parts in about 12 hours. A$$bags!

Not turning it over should get him removed as an embedded reporter at the least!

Our Liberal morning talk host....Is getting his clock cleaned by the callers...America won't allow a scape goat...and I don't think the Marines will do anything...If it was the Army the guy wouldn't have a chance...

Perhaps Senator Kerry could write him up for a Silver Star.

Good point! Kerry got a Silver for shooting a fleeing, unarmed VC in the back! And this troop gets hung out to dry???????

Make no mistake the MSM and the Democrats will keep this Marine in the news, front and center, 24/7. The MSM will rue the day they not only criticize the President and his administration, but they will be flattened by the response of the "red" states and their support for this fighting soldier. God Bless this Country and our Troops.

If you notice most of the scum that prejudge have never been close to being in a situation such as this. They are the everyday Monday morning quarterbacks.
Everyone including the reporters that prejudge should be forced into the same situation.
The damn MSM continue to attack Americans and the only time they really take a stand is when one of their own is beheaded.
America has never seen an enemy like the one we are now at war with!

who cut the heads off of innocents because God told them to,

They believe in Allah, whom they refer to as god, who is in fact no God.

Consider me in - the story here should NOT be the Marine shooting - it should become the MSM and their obsession with comdemning the military! At some point, this has to stop. The enemy in this case is well-aware of how to use media coverage and our own media is supplying them with everything they need!

I am - like many here no doubt - outraged as well. I do not know why our soldiers must be held to a 'convention of behavior' - at least one that does not consider that the enemy they must fight; holds to none. . .NO rules of engagement.

I would also like to know; just who the embedded photographer was that took this picture and turned it over first to the or (his) media outlet; rather than opting to have the Military first make a determination re this action.

This again; hurts our soldiers; their efforts; their morale. . .and further jeopardizes their lives and any and all Americans who are within a terrorist's reach.

Do these photographers/media NOT have to hold to any rules of engagement themselves?

Yea, but NBC will find his actions worthy of a nice raise.
