THE SCROLL BAR ON THE BOTTOM OF CNN'S AARON BROWN SHOW SHOWS "SWAPPING SPOOKS" !!!!
I am not nuts, and I am not seeing things....I know what I saw. But, now I'll look like a fool to half the people who read and posted here, so I will be calling CNN in the morning till I get to te bottom of it
Does the scroll keep up with current headlines even while showing a re-run?
And, please don't tell me to get a grip, or lighten up, or let-it-go, or that it was referring to the CIA shakeup.....people resigned at the CIA - there was not a SWAPPING OF SPOOKS !
It's 2 am and I'm Mad and Tired. Will check back in tomarrow after my calls to CNN - (404-827-2600).

Can't you see a tape (hope there is one) played on
Sean Hannity's Show or Bill O'Reilly.
Can we expect to hear from the ACLU?
I've always heard it applied to blacks instead. But I think we all need to quit trying to hang everyone over table manners and general deportment, when Al-Q'aeda's out there trying to buy a nuclear weapon.
Remember growing up in the Army, my dad had friends that were "spooks" ... later to learn they were CID. Neither Dr. Rice or General Powell are in the CID or CIA or any of the above. Bad cnn, bad cnn.
Dr. Rice, as National Security Advisor, is a sort of in-house, mini-DCI to the President, so that she could conceivably be given that label as an intelligence officer, which she obviously is (as opposed to a line officer or executive, which she is only with her own staff). Colin Powell got the job at State precisely because he'd been National Security Advisor to President George H.W. Bush. Ergo it becomes salient to the story, that President George W. Bush has nominated two former National Security Advisors in succession to the post of Secretary of State. This tendency is remarkable and newsworthy, since the only other president I can recall to move a former national security advisor to State was Richard Nixon, and now President Bush has done it twice.
Moreover, the scroll could have referred to the CIA, where a body rain is in progress, and the head of the CIA task force on Osama Bin Laden recently resigned in protest of the changes being implemented by former Congressman and now DCI Porter Goss. There was a segment on this on PBS's The Newshour earlier this evening (Monday night, the 15th).
So there are a number of alternative explanations.
bttt
The liberals' talk about "tolerance" is just that -- talk. They are, in my extensive experience, exceptionally racist. What you saw on CNN is par for the course for them.
They're probably mad that so many blacks voted for Bush.
You read my mind!!! Have you ever read the Mark Steyn column on that event?
thank you!
Powell and Rice both serve the republican president, therefore
the usual deference shown to blacks by the media do not apply.
that just rung a bell... isn't the word 'spook' a derogatory term for African-Americans?
Excuse me, "..Does not apply."
Excuse me, "..Does not apply."
Bump. Anything new on this?
Spook is an old 50's racist term for Negro's. It shouldn't surprise anyone, the left HATES succesful conservatives African-Americans.
As long as the Left can keep African-Americans oppressed they can manipulate them as a voting block. Liberalism is the ultimate racist policy.
CNN . . . yep.
So true: Let me tell you a little story.
Once upon a time in a former life I worked on classified programs where we had as our long time Security Officer an absolute salt of the earth black gal who in my opinion was the better at that very difficutl job than anyone I ever dealt with. One day she asked me a question that I no longer remember but it related to something that puzzled her in some way about our program and why we were doing some of the seemingly crazy things that we were doing.
I remember my answer to her like it was yesterday: "Just think about it, you're a spook, you'll figure it out."
Well needless to say, I felt badly about that comment. The good news for me: She didn't even blink an eye but I'm not sure to this day what she might have actually been thinking. The fact of the matter is that my comment was intended as compliment. I think she took it as one but who knows for sure?
LOL... I know how you feel. When I'm around blacks I am terrified that I'm going to accidentally offend them. It's such a phobia I actually kind of avoid them, not because I dislike them, but because I'm so paranoid about race relations. I just don't want to screw up (because I screw up a LOT in general. If there's room in my mouth for another foot, I always find a way to stuff it in there.)
I think that is just plain "despicable."
