I am being sued for something that happened at the December 2000 Freep of Joe Lieberman.
JimRob has allowed me to hold an internet fundraiser to help defray the costs of my lawyers fees.
I am broke and thousands of dollars in debt, and depending on how much I can collect here, I amnot sure if I can continue or work to sign a mutual release if offered.
Right now, we have ended the discovery phase, and are awaiting the deposition of the man who accused me of assaulting him that day.
That charge is a lie.
The following story below is my short account of what happened that day.
LOL! I don't need to see anymore. The guy is clearly a hack and a fraud.
Matthew Riley was Harpseal.
I'll do what I can to help. ( sorry, it won't be much.) Thanks for being on the front lines.
Could you ping your Mainers with this?
Thanks!
I used mine!!!
Ahem!!
I'm not sure about this, but perhaps if the donor writes on the check "gift," the amount donated would be considered a gift. IOW, donor must state that it is a gift.
Perhaps, it's because he's using FR that he must treat it as taxable income?
Wish I could help, Race, but I've been unemployed for twelve years and taking care of paralized Dad.
If you freepmail me your email address, I will send you a paypal payment in addition to my check. I think that if someone sends you a payment, PayPal will walk you through setting up an account. But I could be wrong. Still, it's worth a try.
My hubby has a truck. I know about men and their trucks....lol
"The man is down; he's asking for help, not a kick while he's down!"
Bravo!!
I'll help...
bttt
Your account of the Kimber incident was very interesting... I wasn't aware of the "youngish girl" who was milling around, then snapped the photo of Tom Scott, Race and Boise Kimber on the truck. My husband and I just noticed the very bizarre Kimber heavily leaping up onto Race's truck, appearing to lunge at Race and Tom. Then he smiled this huge smile, maybe waved a bit to the crowd, then leaped back down to the street. It all happened so fast!
My husband ended up in a great AP photo from that rally. In the pic, he's blowing a plastic horn, and there are Viet Nam vets in back of him shouting, pointing to the lefties and holding some great signs. (Remember - we were mostly protesting algore's and LIEberman's wishes to stop counting the overseas military votes.) I unfortunately have no link to that photo, so I don't know how to post it. :-(
Anyway, with the exception of the strange incident with Kimber, the "LIEberman FReep" was one of the most amazing rallies we've attended!
You're wrong. And you can have a real hard time getting the money from them.
LOL!!!!
BUMP
BUMP

bumpity bump bump!!!
Lawsuit was originally filed in August 2001, right after the bank forclosed on his house and his church....if my memory serves me correct...
God bless you and your dad.
