Well Freepers, I am still gloating over the recent Republican pickups in this past election and I feel like partying, so I thought we could get several Freepers together and throw Tom Daschle a going away party.

What would be better than a party for the Outgoing Minority Leader(GOD I love that title) of the Seante as he joins several of has fellow Democrats on the unemployment line.

Freepers could bring balloons, cakes, cards and share their funniest Tom Daschle Story as we give him a Washington Farwell to long be remembers by those in Washington.

But does he have enough $ left in his campaign war chest to pay for all of us?

Maybe he would enjoy a pony ride at the party. Then again, the towering size of a pony could be frightening to him.

Former Senator Tom Daschle. Has such a nice ring to it, doesn't it? I'm sure he will wear it well.

I kind of already sent a gift for Daschle's early retirement from the Senate, Sent Care of John Thune, in a form of a contribution to Thune to Oust Daschle.

When I was in the Army and stationed in Germany there was a First Seargent who was not well liked. When he got orders to rotate back to the States, the guys got together and decided to give him a going away party.

It was supposed to be a secret but it leaked and he went around very happy for a few days.

Then he got to talking to one of the guys and asked, is that party for Thursday night? The guy said yes it is.

The First Seargent said, "but I'm leaving Wednesday."

The other guy then said, "Yes we know".

We should gloat, gloat, then gloat some more. Then spike the ball in his face.

Speaking of Tom Daschle and going away... there was a Daschle campaign headquarters in the building where I work. They just vacated after the election and left all their crap there. There are tens of thousands of unused full color brochures, a big stack of "Republicans for Dashcle" signs, one "Dashle in Indian Country" sign, a circa 1940's fridge with a half empty 12 pack of Bud Light, an old beater couch full of stains and holes, and most perplexing of all - a pile of wood shavings on the floor in a corner. If ever a place needed fumigating...

I say we let him and all of the other outgoing democrat senators ride out of town on elephants. They could all line up linking snouts and tails. There's got to be a photoshop person who can make this picture happen.
