I Smell a Rat I smell a rat. It has that distinctive and all-too-familiar odor of the species Republicanus floridius. We got a nasty bite from this pest four years ago and never quite recovered. Symptoms of a long-term infection are becoming distressingly apparent.

Ah, here is probably where the author got his info:

http://boe.cuyahogacounty.us/BOE/results/currentresults1.htm

And here is a page that tries to explain why the numbers are reported the way they are.

"Why would Florida be totally exempt from this southern phenomenon? It is the south."

Because of Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.

I think that the exit polls were wrong by design, but the engineers were the democrats instead. They had a plan to challenge any state that Kerry lost if his loss was not consistent with the polls. This would have made it legit in the minds of the public. Someone got cold feet and leaked it to Drudge.

Basically she multiplied the total votes cast in a county by the percentage of voters registered Republican: this gave an expected Republican vote. She then compared this to the actual result.

Unfortunately for this yahoo, when the results are compared to the votes for PRESIDENT in the prior election (not voter party registration) the anomaly disappears.

so...

Nevermind.

Well OK if Zogby called it, let's just give it to Kerry. /sarcasm

Even if the touch screens produced a paper trail, that wouldn't please Democrats. They'd just say that the paper trail did not match the actual votes.

I mean, why doesn't anybody pushing this theme think it's strange that not only Republicans but Democrats and independents are involved in massive voter fraud that's stolen the most important election in the country, and nobody, not one of the conspirators, has leaked yet?

A sane person would at least suspect that a conspiracy this massive could not remain covered up forever.

The libs at DU are going nuts, thinking they have found fraud and that Rove ordered the machines hacked in several states, including some we lost! Now Nader has gotten a recount in NH and they're about to get one in Ohio.

Ridiculous.

The author also left out the fact that exit polls sampling a small part of the time skewed the results. The early polls showed Kerry winning. However they showed a pick up in Bush support during the day. Bush supporters seem to be more likely to vote in the evening after work (a foreign concept to some Dems).

I would like to get a look at the final exit polls and compare them to the real results. I had heard that the final results were much closer to the real vote count, but that wouldn't support the Dems' story so the MSM doesn't cover it.

Overall, Bush received 2% fewer votes in counties with electronic touch-screen voting than expected.

So what does this do to the "Diebold machines turn Kerry votes into Bush votes" theory? Consistency is a good thing.

The final exit polls pretty much called the election on target.

Of course the DUmmies are gnashing their teeth about how the right-wing media "changed" the exit polls.

My personal opinion is that the exit polls were wrong because there were a lot of Bush voting Democrats who were simply too embarrassed to admit they had to vote for Pres. Bush because their own guy was so sucky and full of lies, lies, lies.

What I am still steamed about is how many of the Bush voters were depressed and stayed home when they heard of those phony exit polls being put out by Zogby et al. We all KNOW that exit polls energize the side that is winning and not the other side, else why would have the media "called" Florida for Gore in 2000 so early in the game? I genuinely believe that our President would have won even more handily without those bogus exit polls depressing GOP turnout. Sometimes I despair, because these people seem to have no conscience and no soul.

And what about those 110% results for Dems in Philly for the last two presidential elections? Can we talk about those, huh, huh? President Bush did NOT steal this or any other election, and the Dems KNOW it. They are just ticked because THEIR efforts at fraud were unsuccessful except in their rat-infested holes.

It was getting late in the smoky cellar of a Prague sports bar where a crowd of expats had gathered. We had been hoping to go home to bed early, confident of victory.

Why does anybody even listen to Zogby? He has proven time and time again that his polling has no credibility whatsoever.
