Rossi for WA Governor 2004. Provisional results:

Christine Gregoire Democrat 1345945 48.85%

Dino Rossi Republican 1347865 48.92%

Ruth Bennett Libertarian 61349 2.22%

Oh Come on. If you are going to post this, then the least you can do is to subtract the two numbers and give us the result, as that is the only number that mean anything.

41,623 ballots left to count according to WA state elections website. Rossi needs 48% of remaining votes to win, but 50.2% of remaining votes to avoid an automatic recount.

I have got my fingers crossed. Washington really REALLY needs him. Gov Locke and the dems (libs)have been a 20 year disaster.

I just checked the latest figures, Rossi is ahead by only 1920 votes.

If it ends up less than 2000 I think that forces an automatic recount.

What kind of a backward state is Washington that they don't even know who the governor-elect is 10 days after the election?

I know, I know...absentees and provisonals. Very timely in this age of instant communication.
