After you've made four or five anchors to use in a boat nobody else knows you have and you don't fish in -- that are missing now? After you've told your new girl friend that your wife is dead two weeks before she goes missing?

I haven't followed the case closely, and I admit that my initial reaction was that he had killed her in a fit of rage (probably following an argument, perhaps about Amber) and then worked to hide the body, develop an alibi, etc., even escape what he might have felt was an impending unjust prosecution. I can even see trying to sell the property (a stupid move, to be sure) if he desperately needed cash.

But facts like those your cited sure paint a different picture. How do you possibly lose five cement boat anchors? And exactly when did he make them? A cement boat anchor wouldn't even be ready for use for at least a few days (the cement has to set and cure). There is no way he could have made cement boat anchors on December 24th and used them that same day. And he purchased a boat without telling anyone? And the story he said to Amber? Did he think she would never put two-and-two together?

Yep, he was surely guilty. And I am somewhat reassured that even a CA jury can still come to a just decision in this day and age.

You weighed in to weigh in..
Greaaaaat.

And you don't give a whit. Even more important. doh.

If you don't have a burning need to know, again, you still have some need to speak.

I had a sister in law murdered in Modesto. Never solved. All cases solved are more than passing interest. Justice served, is all a family gets. Sometimes, it never comes at all.

I don't give a crap about Gerragos' lunch either, but it's a nice way to change the subject.

If you want gavel-to-gavel coverage of the Peterson case, that's fine. I don't need it and said as much, which is what forums like this exist for. You have a problem with my saying that and made your displeasure known. Looks like we've both exercised our franchise sufficiently on the matter.

Does anyone know best case scenario what life behind bars will be like for Snot? Will he have visitors, or roommates. Will he be isolated all of the time and then given only one hour, alone outside a day? Just curious.

Yeh, the only non racist Black I've heard publicly convict one of his own is Bill Cosby. He gave the Black community heck, and told them to take responsibility for their lives.

PS, forgot to say...

4 vehicles at an intersection with 4 stop signs.

Hand waves - you go... no, you go. All around the intersection. Standstill.

That's Minnesota Nice. LOL!

I couldn't hear the whole show, but what I did hear was great! John was ecstatic.

Had you ever heard those recordings of Scott listening to his messages before? That was the first time I'd heard them. His hanging up and laughing were SO telling, I could have convicted him from those tapes alone.

John had several of his LONG laughing segments! His laugh is infectious!

Yeah, we can't wait for the Michael Jackson circus to begin. This trial is really getting old.

Yep. The media always has to have at least one circus going.

Only all of Laci's family and friends.

I do believe they live in California so why is it national news 24/7? We have our own murder trials to follow without the media blitz of this case.

Why did you look at the thread? Not interested?

I had to key on the thread to put in my post. If you know another way to post let me know. That way I can bypass all the other garbage.

BTW, for the record, I'm glad that Laci's family can finally get some closure to her murder from this decision, but I'm still not convinced that he's the actual murderer. The evidence was just too circumstantial, and I still haven't seen any evidence that some deranged tweaker didn't pick her up to satisfy some sick sexual perversion, and then dump her body in the bay to throw the investigation off. My guess is that we'll never really know what happened to Laci that morning.

Now you sound like Greta Van Sustern. How many opinions are out there? Thousands. How many count? The jury.

I have a boat very similar in size and construction, and I don't think there is any way he could have dumped her out of it without capsizing it. Having said that, I think he's probably guilty.

I know this late. We know the verdict. But this question will be discussed in the future.

You assume Scott put her in the boat at all. Scott in all likelihood placed the body in the water and ferried her out to a certain point. Prior to launching out in deep water Scott placed the body in the forms and poured concrete in the shallow water. Concrete cures in water. (I watched pool guys pour concrete, smooth it, then fill pool ASAP. He said the curing is bttr under water than sans water).

Scott thought the idea worked beautifully because the bay descends into a deep abyss. The Monterey Bay, for example, descends almost 1/2 mile down as per National Geographic article. That's far. But something happened that made Laci's body float back up. Something Scott did wrong. You know he knew there was a mistake because he kept returning to the scene of the crime.

As for the head: I hold an unorthodox theory. Scott is actually a serial killer. JMO but the guy strikes me as the type.

Scott's probably guilty, but that little bit of doubt should prevent the death penalty just in case something comes up in the years to come.

How do you say that legally so that you don't provide the groundwork to let a guilty person be acquited.

You should have to convict based on no reasonable doubt.

But you should be allowed to deny the death penalty based on certain types of unreasonable doubt.

Since Westerfield knew where the body was and had her blood and fingerprints on his things, why do some people think he is innocent?

Sometimes it seemed to me the DA didn't much want to win the case. Why didn't they ask for the death penality since then they would have gotten a better jury? And they sure weren't concerned who was on the jury. Henry Lee's testimony bordered on fraud, according to Aphrodite Jones. In any case, it still was a solid case. Above all, I blame the jury -- a truly stupid and/or corrupt jury.
