News Alert: Scott Peterson Verdict to be announced today at 4:00 Eastern Time.
Bootstick re post 1143,
Unfortunately, I agree with that.
You can't bounce 3, and not have something fishy going on. An appeal will be filed, and we'll see what happens.
If the Jury was tainted because of juror misconduct, then the judge may have had a duty to declare a mistrial.
The fact that these jurors were dismissed only during deliberations, says a lot about this.
We'll see what Garagos and clan say about this.
I hope he gets Life in Prison for this, as it will more accurately reflect my conservative views.
The fact that the the child was viewed as such also lends more credence that two lives were lost in this, not one.
Some of you calling for the needle should really evaluate your positions.
Let him rot in Jail for life with the other scumbags found guilty.
Regards,
Joe
***His message as to convince thru the early morning media the "Impossibility" of a body and its cement shoes being handled on that boat without capsizing. ***
Do you ever watch "Crocodile Hunter" on Animal Planet? That dude regularly wrestles squirming 150+ lb. alligators INTO a tiny boat, which has got to be harder than dumping something out of a boat.
I've always felt that those guilty of capital offenses should die the say way as their victims did.
Yup, I drove past it on my way home from work the other night!
Common sense is making a comeback in the USA.Also can this be the end of pundits talking heads, pollsters, jury selectors etc. They are wrong on all.Bush wins War is not a quagmire and Peterson is guilty.
We don't know why those jurors were tossed. If there was a good reason, not related to how they would have voted, then it should stand. It will be interesting to see the appeal, though, won't it?
I know that. I told you I knew her before she got famous.
ROFL!!!
Send the boy to here in Texas for sentencing.......
No, the boat wasn't a joke. Geragos parked a boat that was identical to or very similar to the one Peterson owns in front of his office a few blocks from the courthouse a couple days ago. It had a dummy in it--the one they used to show how Scott couldn't dump her body without capsizing the boat. People in the area filled it with flowers, candles and tributes to Laci and Connor.
It's the same reason people go on exotic safaris.. it's interesting to see wild animals in their habitats.
Geragos' boat stunt backfires: Replica turned into shrine for Laci

That's why I never start a thread on a news story unless it is a relatively obscure one and no one else has posted it for about a day or so.
This also reminds me of the little old ladies at a church business meeting who jump at the opportunity to move or second a motion so their name will appear in the minutes of the annual business meeting. Every church has one.
That's why they're called DUmmies.
Yep... let me dig up the link to the article. He's a scum of the worst kind.

Quote:
Defense attorney Mark Geragos parked a replica of a fishing boat a few blocks from the courtroom, but the ploy apparently backfired.
The boat resembled the one prosecutors allege Peterson used to dump his wife's body. Inside the boat was a dummy representing Laci Peterson's corpse, with concrete anchors tied to it.
Modesto Bee: http://www.modbee.com/local/story/9411648p-10320374c.html
Inside the boat on display at the attorney's parking lot were four round, homemade concrete anchors and a headless dummy in blue coveralls with duct tape at the extremities.
LOL
Imagining that both alternate jurors were also prepared to vote guilty as soon as they got into the jury room, it makes sense this would be over this quickly. I see nothing wrong here, and certainly nothing warranting an all caps line about throwing out a "sham" verdict.
Nancy Grace is one tough cookie--and one of the best advocates for victim rights I've ever seen.
He's an idiot all right. But you'd be surprised how many of these sociopath/narcissist types do exactly that, even when they're facing a murder charge.
