After a busy weekend protesting the Re-Election of President Bush, some Boulder High School students, and their teacher, Mr. Jim Vacca, got a visit from the Secret Service today.
The protest, which managed to attract Congressman Mark Udall (D), who is expected to run for governor in 2006, was only a warmup to the action this week.
Earlier this week, according to several dozen witnesses and the Boulder Daily Camera (you may have to register, no charge), a student band, with Mr. Vacca playing along, played out a song that called for the death of President Bush. The band, the Taliband, played at a student talent show earlier this week.
Earlier today, the Mike Rosen show on 850 KOA was flooded with calls from students who claimed that the band "advocates killing George W. Bush." The band is scheduled to perform tomorrow night at the high school, however, the band is no longer going by "The Taliband" but is now known as "The Coalition of the Willing." There will be a multimedia show during the song showing pictures of President Bush.
Apparently the band sang "George Bush, I hope you die soon" to the tune of their punk version of Bob Dylan's "Masters of War." Jim Vacca, facing a tital wave of public outrage, has dropped out of the band. It remains to be seen how the Secret Service will treat this matter.
That would be the late Johnny Ramone on guitar, my favorite rock n roll Republican.
MILF Alert!
If he asked the students to pray for President Bush he'd be long gone.
Was Patriots Voice another lost DUmmie?
Not a DUmmie. Look at the quote. Taliban, maybe.
