Maybe it's the very tiny but strong nostalgic streak in me, but while I write science fiction and horror short stories I love reading personal stories about folks's lives--Robert Cormier's I Have Words to Spend is a favorite in this vein.
If you put together a ping list sign me up.
As always, thank you, Carlo.
Hope y'all enjoy it! My kids beg me to make it. It's my fool-proof pot luck dish too!

MMmm, I am going to make those stuffed mushrooms for a hobbit party next month. They sound wonderful...I can almost smell the bacon and cheese wafting through the computer screen.
In a hurry I suppose one could use Ragu, but it's so much better this way. Decent tomatoes would be the key.

I started out making them with jimmy dean sausage and one day for a party I made two pans with bacon and two with sausage, the bacon ones were gone just like that, the sausage ones had a some left over, dont have to hit me in the head, never made the sausage ones since. :) If taking them to a party I would make them up just before and bake them at or during the party if possible, fresh out of the oven they cant be beat, be mindful of the hot juices tho.

Recipe for a properly cooked turkey: Cook it breast down.
I can't wait to try to make them. I love to make my own bread and rolls anyway. I used to have a huge center island butcher block for that sort of thing, but we moved into a smaller home in the mountains, so this will be a challenge! Thanks again for the recipe.
Makes me wish I had a childhood like that... BTTT!
2 questions - I can't eat pineapple - what's a good substitute.
How long do you bake it?
I can't believe you don't do anything to the cake mix.
And .. one more .. can you use lemon cake mix instead ??
Thank you so much for these yummy recipes!
Howdy neighbor! I'm in Macon and haven't had an RC since I was a kid...lol. Nice to meet you :)
