MSNBC's FOB Rick Kaplan's Desperate Attempt to Hijack Election via Olbermann, Matthews, etc...

With Kaplan’s entrenchment, MSNBC will, like the other establishment networks, almost certainly become just another cookie cutter stamping out a daily batch of predictable one-sided, pro-Democrat, anti-Republican, pro-Leftist propaganda.

Needless to say, MSNBC Democrats like Matthews or the “Countdown” laughing Lefty Keith Olbermann will get no comparable command to “balance” their Left-leaning shows with right-wing voices and views.

The MSNBC network, trying to gain ratings and relevance, has completely adopted the tactics and tone of the leftist wacko conspiracy theorists in their hysterical reporting of “voter fraud” in Ohio and Florida. Keith Olbermann and self proclaimed buddy David Shuster have led the charge in reporting the story this week.

Why? Let’s look at possible motives. Judging from their comments during this election, Olbermann and Shuster are far left liberals. Olbermann suggested that a Bush supporter wasn’t a real Patriot and should leave the country. Shuster, in his blog “Loss for True Conservatism” on November 7th characterized those who don’t agree with gay marriage as wanting to go back to the days of slavery and stoning people. That was before he inferred that Christian Evangelicals were unintelligent, illogical, and lacking in common sense. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6385026/

Why this push for a recount by Olbermann and his show Countdown? Besides the obvious liberal bias, could it be a Hail Mary pass on the part of the show? Unable to make a dent in Bill O’Reilly’s ratings on Fox, perhaps an envious Olbermann figures he can be a hero of the left by adopting and exploiting this issue. If he is right, perhaps in his own mind he will be the next Carl Bernstein, a fellow liberal and frequent guest of his show. If he is wrong, he will only lose what little credibility he has a serious newsperson. For him it’s a WIN WIN situation - he has nothing to lose.

But why is MSNBC supporting this desperation move? One has to look no further than who is now the President of MSNBC, none other than “Friend of Bill”, Rick Kaplan. Kaplan, while head of the CNN news division during the Clinton administration, spent two overnights in the Lincoln bedroom as a guest of the Clintons. In one such visit, Kaplan boasted that Clinton gave his daughter a two hour private tour of the White House. http://www.mediaresearch.org/realitycheck/2003/fax20030610.asp

According to the MSNBC website, partisan shill Kaplan is, “The President, MSNBC and executive producer, MSNBC’s 2004 Presidential Election coverage.”

One has to question Kaplan’s judgment. For one, what father would let any of his daughters over the age of 13 go on a two hour private tour with Bill Clinton? (The same Bill Clinton who was at battle stations battling terrorism according to Madeleine Albright). Two, Kaplan apparently doesn’t see any conflict of interest in the president of a major news division receiving personal favors for him and his family from a sitting President. Did it affect CNN’s coverage of Clinton? Viewers will have to decide that.

Was Olbermann referring to Kaplan when he said in his November 9th blog, “It may be different elsewhere, but there was no struggle to get this story on the air, and evidently I should be washing the feet of my bosses this morning in thanks.” If so, Kaplan has pretty clean feet today.

It’s a shame that Kaplan, Olbermann, Shuster and company have to put their own selfish interests ahead of the country’s’. Hopefully, the American people will say enough of this attempt to de-legitimize, yet again, the election of President Bush for MSNBC’s own partisan reasons.

Yeah, but they're living in their little bubble where they think everyone agrees with them, or would, if they could just show them the light.

But things are a LOT different than they were in 2000--W is the incumbent. W won the popular vote. W won the swing states decisively, not by any razor-thin margin. We are at war. They want to keep this up, fine, we'll just come out swinging at them like we did in 2000.

If Kaplan is a friend of Bill & Hillary, he didn't want to see Kerry win...forcing Hillary's run be put off.

I hope that the votes in Ohio do get recounted. I hope every county and precint is looked at. We know that the Dimrats did alot of dirty stuff there like the votes for crack cocaine stuff. Also the provisionals should turn up some felons and people who actually live in New York and stuff.

Might be fun if the Dimrats start the official "look" see into the thing and what gets uncovered puts egg all over their face. sKerry could pick up an additional 50,000 votes and W might get about the same. This way all the tricks could be put on the table and we could be more prepared for 2008.

Of course it might be great to recount all the battleground states where the margin for Kerry is much smaller and maybe add more red to the map in the end.

I say you want a recount in Ohio - bring it on. Also remember that each precinct is run by "humans" who will take umbrage at being called idiot schills just like the people in Florida got sick of the media sliming the whole state.

This who tin foil hat thing on the DU is a big WIN WIN for us. Let Olberman go down in flames along with what little credibilty the cable channels have.

Olberman and O'Donnell are gay.

That is the reason for their antics.

He has no ratings, even the left doesn't watch this POS.
Here's my idea, every year we have a NOV. 15th thru the 22nd HUNTING SEASON ON THE FAR LEFT, limit one person.

Who benefits from keeping up this voter fraud charade and de-legitimizing the Republican victory? The Dem candidate in 2008.

It is simply another lame attempt by the liberals to delegitmize the President's clearly legitimate victory.

It was close enough last time that they could pull the wool over the eyes of many, but now, it is a bit different. Even Kerry knew he lost, lost big, and lost early.

Now they are just portraying themselves as petty, petulant, nutcases who are busy insulting the voters who voted for Bush and will likely (after this anyway) never vote for Democrats now that they know how the libs look at them.

It is a clear case of hoisting themselves by their own petards.

The media has regrouped and appears to be redoubling its
efforts against this administration. This scheduling,
then canceling the showing of "Private Ryan" in
orchestration is saying:

"Since we did not get our way in the election, and you are
making us live under the "law", and since you punished us
for the Janet Jackson fiasco, we will show you by denying
you everything we can under the pretense that the Bush
administration will fine us." I don't think they ever
had any intention of showing "Ryan". Now, we can just
watch "Andy of Mayberry" since we are family values
oriented, they snidely imply.

Leftist ideologue, and, since 1977, political ally and intimate friend of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

That says it all right there. However, after reading this article, it is worse than I imagined.

Thats okay. Just start making a list for the next election. The next time one of the networks that stopped Ryan does something outrageous (and they will), you have an issue. Why stop Ryan but show "x". Have a long memory.

Yeah. I noticed they were still going to show that
debauched, nasty "Friends" rerun. I've never channel
surfed past that show without hearing some outlandish
bit of filth out of Jennifer Anniston's mouth (or one
of the others).
