CAUSE OF ARAFAT'S DEATH A SECRET ONLY FAMILY CAN REVEAL
PARIS, Nov 11 - The mystery remained over the cause of Yasser Arafat's death Thursday after French military doctors who treated the Palestinian leader said it was private information meant for his family only. "I have no declaration to make on that subject," a spokesman for the French military's medical service, Christian Estripeau, told AFP. "It is not up to the defence forces' health service to reveal information given to the family." The only people in a position to lift the veil on the medical secret are Arafat's family, and above all his wife Suha, who severely restricted the release of her husband's medical information and limited bedside visits to a handful of Palestinian officials since he was airlifted to France on October 29. Officially the 75-year-old Arafat was admitted to the hospital as a result of complications from gastric flu. "Gastric flu" was mentioned in the past to explain his health problems, in particular in 2003, when the British newspaper The Guardian reported that he had been the victim of a mild heart attack. Suggestions that he was suffering from cancer, leukaemia or poisoning were all denied by members of Arafat's immediate circle.

Maybe that's why she demanded so much money. If she dies, their daughter is left alone, and that's her insurance money. I doubt that the deal Suha arranged for herself passes on to the daughter.

My husband said he'd been poisoned the day his collapse was announced -- a full week before authorities said theat they were investigating the posibility of poison. I twouldn't be the first time that a despotic leader was poisoned by one of his colleagues. We'll probably never know for sure.
You would think they would have found out where the money was first.

In the late 1980s, I had the occasion to go to Romania on business. The dictator, Ceaucescu, was still in power. our group stayed at one of his country houses. Each of us was assigned a 'spy'...to watch us (sort of a KGB operative). The person who job was to shadow me confided in me that Arafat was a friend of Ceaucescu and that Arafat had stayed at this very house. He also told me that Arafat liked boys and liked to play 'chase the tiger'. In a later conversation with an arab who arranged business deals with arab businessmen and the U.S., I was told the same thing. Arafat was definetly a 'gender bender'.
I don't know if that gives credence to any of the stories we hear about aids ...and of course he had a lot of medical treatment and could have contracted aids or a simliar disease from transfusions.. but I think aids is definetly a possibility and would certainly be something that the family and the government would do all in their power to hide from the press.
I say who cares. Its just good that the little terrorist bastard is dead as they may finally be a chance for peace in the middle east.
