Former Romanian spy chief Ion Pacepa, who defected in the late seventies, was tasked by the soviets with aiding Mideast terrorism, he knew Arafat quite well back in the day and in his '87 memoir mentions Arafat's swingin' lifestyle. He posts often on Dave Horowitz' FrontPageMag.com. I do not know the details, however.
I don't go in for cheap shots no matter who the target, but there does appear to be considerable evidence in this case. As circumstantial evidence, all the smoke and mirrors surrounding Arafat's demise is a total flashback to the celebrity AIDS deaths of the eighties.

Wasn't there a rumor some time back that Arafat likes blond haired, blue eyed German boys? He hired them for security during the day and play at night?
What makes me suspicious is the news media's lack of interest in the actual cause of death. Reagan's Alzheimer's for example, was discussed throughout the days after his death; Elizabeth Edwards's health situation is a topic of discussion; yet Arafat suddenly becomes sick and dies and no one seems to be discussing this illness.

Doubt it.(That he had AIDs) Probably a disease called "thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura". Usually fatal in his age group; it is an autoimmune disease directed against the platelet component of the blood.
Well, I'd buy that - if the word was out there in the MSM - AND ELSEWHERE that he was a homosexual.
But that is not the word out there - even by news outlets which I respect such as the Washington Times, Fox News, etc. If it was, I could see it having a profound effect on Islamic practicing folks.
As far as John Loftus, I'd take what he says with a grain of salt. Some of what he has discussed on his talked with John Batchelor have come to be proven true - much has not.
It's an interesting theory, but several docs on FR have opined that they did not think he was dying/died of AIDS. It will probably be a discussion that goes on for awhile.

Wife took him to France - because France does not require a cause of death - and would therefore allow the cause of his death to be kept secret (mysterious disease).
I also personally believe that France was was chosen because that was where the wife lived and she promised Chirac some of the loot.
The problem goes way back to their youth. It was because of the way they were reared.
actually this is also common practice in the USA following the AIDS epidemic. Homosexuals who died in the closet did not want it known about their recreational sex behaviors.
I believe this calls for a Kerry and Edwards "perfect moment".

Right now, the propaganda is all that Arafat was oh so good. When the whole world figures out that he died from AIDS/HIV and the Arab community absorbs that reality, the shame emanating from that will stink worse and worse. Afafat's death from AIDS will bring him down from the mythic figure he is now in the Arab world.

He did die of AIDS.
He clearly had AIDS. "Rare blood disorder" - my aching side!
It is well documented that he did the behavior that spreads AIDS. Whether sketchy or not, it is ridiculous to state that he died from something that was not common to AIDS.
They are hiding it simply because he would "lose face" if it were certain knowledge.
It is fitting that this jackal is the most prominent and famous person thus far to die of AIDS.
