"We must ask ourselves if we (the Netherlands) have not been naive over the past few years, and if for too long we have taken in just any one," said Verdonk.

Yes, yes, yes. Naive is a good word.

Another example of the effect of "Brain Drain" to the "New World"!

They don't call it EURABIA for nothing! This is not a new problem, they have been ignoring it.

Damn. Are the US and Britain going to have to conquer Europe, again?

Why don't we see similar wake-up calls in the rest of the EU? Note France's cowering fawning in Arafat's death, keeping the Islamists (temporarily) off their back?

It will take a huge number of murders and other attacks within europe before they wake up and realize the tremendous horror they have willingly accepted into their midst. Then they will want the US to step in and bail them out once again. If the US did, as soon as the threat was gone, europe would resort to their US bashing again.

"naive" - guess you could use that term, but I think it's more like being BS'd by the terrorists. A lot of people in Europe think the enemy is "America" and the "freedom fighters" are (Arafat, Sadam, etc.,). They don't seem to comprehend the dangers they are facing...time to open your eyes before the radical Islamists take off your heads.

I know we're all like, "DUH!", but I think this is very heartening that the Dutch are being so out-loud about the threat of the Islamo-fascists. If they really want to get on board with the War on Terror, they can start by out-loud supporting our efforts in Iraq.

I don't care if they're late for the train. It's better than hearing, "what Islamic problem?"

Ya think? Finally. One little dim-watt lightbulb flickers on in the vast pitch dark Eurabian continent.

Got news.

Mubarak, Gadaffi, etc. have all been complaining about Europe breeding extremism, and not deporting back to their countries extremists for trials.

"Europe must not become a breeding ground for Islamic terrorism," she said. But she added: "We will not allow the Muslim community to be excluded and accused ... and that we enter into a spiral of fear and hate."

She is suicidal. Europe is a breeding ground for Islamic terrorism because it's become a breeding ground for Muslims.

Thanks for the ping. Check this statement:-

"Europe must not become a breeding ground for Islamic terrorism," she said. But she added: "We will not allow the Muslim community to be excluded and accused ...

Not only is it a classic oxymoron, it epitomises precisely the mindset of the vast majority of Europeans today. (and for those who don’t know, I’m a Brit).

In plain, old-fashioned English it translates as “ We know Islam wants us dead or subjugated but, provided we don’t take that threat too seriously, and especially if we don’t do anything to resist you then - being really good guys at heart – you’ll just let it all slide”

There are none so blind as those who will not see.

But please, don’t lump all Europeans in the one bag, guys ( especially the Brits and Eastern Europe). Some of us have to live with this crap every day – and a few, only a few of us, are going to die fighting it !

She said the man suspected of killing van Gogh, who is in police custody, "was driven by the same dark forces which were behind the attacks on New York and Madrid," a reference to the September 11 attacks and the Spanish train bombings.

Dutch EU presidency said on Wednesday that Europe risked becoming a breeding ground for Islamic extremism and that the problem had to be dealt with urgently.

not "becoming"

it's "become" - over the past 30 years...but no one paid attention.

It's like the story of the frog and boiling water: Plop a frog in boiling water and he'll hop right out. Put him in cold water and bring slowly to a boil, he stays and gets cooked...

>>>>>>"We must ask ourselves if we (the Netherlands) have not been naive over the past few years, and if for too long we have taken in just any one," said Verdonk.<<<<

No, The Netherlands is not naive but CRIMINALLY RESPONSIBLE for being accomplice of Islamic terrorists, murdering European civilians on terrorist behalf, destroying infrastructure of European country under false pretense of humanitarian concern and thus facilitating ethnic cleansing of 300,000 Europeans and allowing destruction of 150 Christian churches:

Agression on Yugoslavia in March-June 1999 was AUTHORISED by the Dutch Parliament.

The damage cased was in excess of $60B.

Casualtes were 1500 dead and over 4000 wounded.

What goes around comes around.

>>>>>"Europe must not become a breeding ground for Islamic terrorism," she said.<<<<<

Europe IS a breeding ground for Islamic terrorism already.

And The Netherlands took an active role in creating the problem. Being silent about Srebrenica hoax, arming terrorists and murdering those who do not want to keep silent is a Dutch way to treat the growing problem.
