Hey folks.
Last night, Wednesday November 10th, the Rev. Jackson was a guest of the Trinity College Dublin Historical society, where he was to deliver a lecture on the US political Climate. I took the liberty of taking down a few quotes. Would he get away with the likes of these in the US??
"Defeating George Bush's brand of International racism is the challenge of our age"
"We in the US cannot beat Bush by ourselves, - we need the people of the world to send our government a message. This is as important as the fight against Apartheid in South Africa and America"
(in response to a "Why did Bush win" question) :
"88% of Bush's votes came from Whites. But 100% of his votes came from Stupid people. There's a reason you Europeans think Republicans are stupid, - it's because in the main, they are"
"Yassir Arafat has been a great force for peace in the world"
"If you Imagine how Americans view Osama Bin Laden, then you can imagine how Iraqis' view Bush. Why do we call the home team the insurgents, and the away team the home team? This is an illegal war, and the US is ON THE WRONG SIDE"
That is a mere selection. Needless to say, each and every vile piece of nonesense was greeted with wild applause by a crowd of viscious, angry Irish Lefties. God it was awful. I'm glad to have the opportunity to pass this stuff on to you, - because I just think you need to know that Ann Coulter is right, - Liberals really DO hate America. I didn't believe it until last night.
Yes...he gets away with whatever he wants.
I'm no friend of Gypsy Jackson, but where's the link? Source?
He wouldn't get away with it here and he won't get away with it just because he was there.
He'll have to face the music.
A thousand thanks for your post.
"We in the US cannot beat Bush by ourselves, - we need the people of the world to send our government a message."
Is he implying that "the world" should gang up on us in order to force us to bend the will of his ilk?
Sure he would. We have freedom of speech, which includes the freedom to say ridiculous things. I can tell you one thing, he wouldn't get far with this kind of speech before Irish-Americans.
Cuchallain, did you transcribe this or did it come from one of the papers?
Bttt
Where can I find an article about thsi speech. Got a link or a source?
He's not called Jesse Jackass for nothing....
"I'm no friend of Gypsy Jackson, but where's the link? Source?"
There were no reporters there. This is a first hand account.
Unfortunately, yes. He has, does and will always. It's his right to say what he wants, it's just a shame that so many idiots out there listen and believe him.
Thank you for your labor.
Yes, Jesse Jackson is a racist, but he is also a American hating communist as well. He is a subversive.
Arafat a man of peace - indeed. What a revolting thought.
"Yassir Arafat has been a great force for peace in the world"
poor ole jesse has finally lost his freakin' marbles, somebody shoot this loser and put him out of his misery, wonder if jesse will try to change today to national "we love arafat" day here in the US, wanna make a bet????
Except in Tallahassee, FL in Nov. 2000.
Can he stay in Ireland?
Jesse Jackson: Traitor to America, champion of immorality and discenssion, racist extraordinare!
