I used it 5-6 years ago.

It missed some things then.

I'm not very willing to depend only on it.

Does it fight with Norton or vice versa if both are used?

thanks for the post. I downloaded it and like the new GUI.

It used my old serial # and it actually kept my mail settings it seems.

and it seems to catch viruses that 6.0 didn't... 6.0 would actually give popups about viruses, asking to run the program...but then wouldn't clean them. This version seems to have solved that.

I've had v6 for quite some time. Works like a champ on any machine I've tried it on.

I even found virii on a "protected" network machine at a previous employer.

BTW, does anyone know how to make a shortcut to the control panel in XP?

It was easy to do with right click in prev windows versions, but not now. I like to mess with my settings a lot and it was nice to have a shortcut to control panel...I cant figure out how to do it in XP thanks

My daughter is having trouble with her computer in Okinawa. Apparently it shuts down all on its own at random times while she is working on it.

Anybody familiar with this virus?

I remember reading something a while back but can't find it now.

SPLENDID AV product; I've recommended it to countless friends and clients. I ran it side by side with Norton and McAfee for about a month, and it consistently caught and eliminated threats that the other two either missed altogether, or else found but declared unfixable.

Double shucks! I got it downloaded to about 92% and then it went goofy. Said something about possible infected files. Any suggestions? (P.S.--I grew up on a manual typewriter, so you'll have to type VERY SLOWLY so I can figure it out. Sigh!)

OK, I'm over my hysterics. I tried it again, and it worked this time. (I fall apart VERY quickly.)

AVG has kept this kitty kat safe since an unbelieveable infection this past spring. No reason to get religious about a stupid software program.
