Double shucks! I got it downloaded to about 92% and then it went goofy. Said something about possible infected files. Any suggestions? (P.S.--I grew up on a manual typewriter, so you'll have to type VERY SLOWLY so I can figure it out. Sigh!)

You might try downloading it again.

If you are on dial-up, you could be getting some phone line noise which can interfere with downloads.

I'm on highspeed cable now; I've forgotten how slow dial-up was.

OK, I'm over my hysterics. I tried it again, and it worked this time. (I fall apart VERY quickly.)

AVG has kept this kitty kat safe since an unbelieveable infection this past spring. No reason to get religious about a stupid software program.

Thanks, Oxen. I've tried twice over the last few days to download this product from another site without success. I'll try again with this link.

PC Magazine gave AVG it's Editor's Choice award when it put every anti-virus program through it's Lab Test. AVG won not the winner because it's completely free, but because it doesn't find as many false positives as the others do out there.
