This is great! Now we have documented proof! If you don't still have the arrest record, the municipality will still have them (you didn't say city or county). You need to get this proof and write a rebuttal to this guy so that all the world can see what a self-righteous clymer this guy is. I've wondered whether the spitting story is urban myth, exactly for the reason you relate. Spitting on a 20 year old battle hardened soldier or marine would result more times than not in getting one's ass kicked. How many hippies would want to risk that?

God bless you, brother. You should have done more than arrange for some need for dental work. Thankfully, when I came back from the first Gulf War, I naver encountered this kind of behavior; as mentally unstable as I was back then, I would probably be on Death Row if it had :.)
