PATAKI MAN SLAMS BUSH (RINO Christian-hater rears ugly head)
NY POST ^ | November 10, 2004 | FREDRIC U. DICKER & ABBY WISSE

Posted on 11/10/2004 1:23:22 AM PST by Liz

ALBANY Gov. Pataki's top political adviser has trashed President Bush, attacked the "Christian right," and said Bush's re-election means Pataki can't become president in 2008.

The shocking comments by Arthur Finkelstein appeared in the Israeli daily newspaper Maariv, which also quoted the nationally known GOP consultant as saying that in the presidential election, "the Republican Party became the Christian right, the most radical in modern history ever."

Finkelstein, the one-time political guru to former U.S. Sen. Alfonse D'Amato, is also described by Maariv writer Boaz Gaon as "hating" Bush.

In the story, which ran last Friday, Finkelstein accused Bush of trying to "dictate to America how to live and what to believe in."

Finkelstein, who has helped run several Israeli elections, is also described as claiming Bush is more interested in banning abortion than he is in winning the war in Iraq.

And Finkelstein, who told a Boston newspaper several years ago that he is homosexual, described Bush's campaign strategy as being more interested in banning gay marriages than in improving the American economy.

Finkelstein, who is credited with orchestrating Pataki's stunning upset victory over then-Gov. Mario Cuomo in 1994, told the newspaper Bush's victory is bad news for Pataki, a social liberal who supports abortion and gay rights, because it means the "Christian right" is in charge of the GOP.

"Bush's victory not only establishes the power of the American Christian right in this candidacy, but in fact established its power to elect the next Republican president."

Finkelstein did not return calls seeking comment, and Pataki's camp did not return calls.

A prominent Republican familiar with the interview called Finkelstein's comments "a big embarrassment for Pataki.

"Arthur isn't comfortable being a Republican anymore when he's so unhappy with our success and that's why he's so flamboyantly bashing the president."

"what a joke- Paturkey has absolutely no chance of becoming President"

I agree, remember when Giulliani endorsed Mario Cuomo (Dem) over Paturkey (Rep)in his first Gov. race??? They hate each other, they were not even civil to each other until 9/11 forced the issue. But this is a side issue.

We need to get Pataki out at all costs, he has killed the GOP in NYS. I think Rudy could best serve now to run against Paturkey and Chuckey Cheese for Governor. That still leaves us with a Hilliary problem. I guess we hope she runs for Prez., quits the Senate, and then loses everything.

All those smarter than me set me straight, I'm new at this.

People need to come to grips with the fact that there is no great enthusiasm for butt sex or the butt sex mafia among the vast majority of Americans. They are free to conduct themselves in private in any way they wish. They cannot try to force everyone else to approve of their problem and lifestyle. Tough.

Most normal people really do not want to hear about it. The degree to which the American media and liberals feel the need to talk about sodomy is absurd. It is a VERY very marginal issue.

Some strategist.

The simple truth of the matter is, if President Bush can get O'Connor (and maybe Stevens OR Ginsburg) off the Supreme Court, allowing the will of the people thru Legislation to be unimpeded by Liberal Justices, A SOCIAL MODERATE would have an easier time getting elected against a Democrat.

Once the People feel confident in expressing legislatively, and having upheld judiciously, their values, they will not see a social moderate as a threat, and will then be free to debate the value of that candidate against his opponent, rather than against their values.

Fixing SCOTUS is bad juju for the Left in this country because it allows the (R)'s big tent to becaome a REALLY big tent.

All the Christian-hating bigots hiding under the GOP banner are being flushed out of their RAT-holes...

Thank you, Arlen Specter.

Clearly, in the closet, they have the identical rights conferred on every law-abiding American.

It's only when they exit the closet that things go haywire.

The hypocrisy is that gays "say" they just want to live their lives like regular people, when everything they "do" is aimed at getting prvileges and rights not available to the rest of us.

"All of us have seen and heard these pro-abort RINOS at Republican functions, talking the Planned Parenthood talk, trying to dilute Pubbie values.

These RINOS are nothing but useful idiots for Republicans."

While I have absolute contempt for RINOs, it's one thing to be a pseudo-RINO like Rudy, and quite another thing to be an Arlen Specter RINO to the nth degree, skulking around behind the scene conspiring to crush conservatism, and discriminate against America's Christians and vowing to destroy them.

IOW, Arlen Specter is the ENEMY FROM WITHIN.

.....some of the more ridiculous in (psychological) ranks have attempted to "normalize" the most perverted practices, including sex with little children. Society, in order to survive, has always judged extreme behavorial aberation, not to unjustly punish people, but to protect the majority against behavior which is hurtful, aggressive, destructive or forced upon people not wanting to practice it............

Thankfully, in the anything-goes adult porn world, child porn still retains societal sanctions.

The disgusting Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) is out to change that .....and incest laws. That also fits in with relaxed laws on sodomy. Planned Parenthood and that ilk who are already in our schools K-12, ready to implement all of it.

Most people think that it is disgusting and revolting. It's not "gay bashing" to consider anal sex grotesque and disgusting. We should have rights as Americans NOT to be subjected to aggressive harassment on bizarre sexual matters. Obscenity and public lewdness laws were originally designed to offer such protections. We need to get back to that. We need to end some of the ridiculous nonsense going on in the peculiar sexual areas of the liberal culture war against normal Americans.

I prefer the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. We would all be better off to have less of this nonsense thrown in our face with such regularity and aggressiveness.

Marcus Tullius Cicero-----A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.

Apparently there is an emotional disorder of some type that goes along with the orientation and lifestyle. Frequently there are all sorts of issues left over from their parents not being able to handle the whole ordeal. They seem to feel a need to keep acting out and acting up. It's some sort of passive-aggressive behavior. Almost taunting people as they test their reactions with various provocations.

The group "Act Up" which staged a sort of anti-Catholic riot and theatrical protest at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York a while back was a good example. They consider anyone who does not accept the full gay rights agenda as homophobes guilty of spreading hatred and gay bashing. But the more they bash those they consider "homophobes" the more unpleasant the public image of homosexuals is. It's certainly a bizarre PR strategy.

Personally, I am just tired of hearing about it. No one has the "right" to force me to have to deal with their sodomy problem. They should just keep it private. And shut up about it.
