Now be sure to pass the word far and wide (smirk).
You bet.
Most Freepers may not know this, but Al D'Amato lost his Senate seat to Chuck Schumer in 1998 after he (presumably on the advice of his "political guru") deliberately avoided seeking the endorsement of the Right to Life Party in New York. After the snub, the RTL party ran their own candidate . . . and D'Amato lost by several thousand votes in a race where the RTL candidate received tens of thousands of votes.
Good points. This year I have read several of Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson's books exposing the genesis of the psychological profession. One of the most enlightening was THE ASSAULT ON TRUTH which exposes Freud's coverup of the vast tragedy of child molestation which was going on in that day. Women and children suffered immensely at the hands of known perverts in the profession. Freud was not among them but he ended up covering up for them because they would blackball and ruin the practice of anyone who dared to disagree with their tight control on the profession and it's rules. Many people in this work today are good people but they know that a good bit of the theory is nuts to say the least and some of the more ridiculous in their ranks have attempted to "normalize" the most perverted practices, including sex with little children. Society, in order to survive, has always judged extreme behavorial aberation, not to unjustly punish people, but to protect the majority against behavior which is hurtful, aggressive, destructive or forced upon people not wanting to practice it. I think in this last election people have, at last, gotten the opportunity to respond to a homosexual agenda they are not prepared to tolerate at this time.
Let Pataki and Spectre sit together and gripe!
Interesting given that Bush did not push the gay marriage issue during his campaign. The Dems did that themselves via the Mass. Supreme Court rulinlg and the activities of the Mayor of San Francisco. The high turnout to oppose gay marriage was spontaneous on the part of Christians who didn't like seeing a two thousand year old institution being destroyed by Judicial fiat.
-"Finkelstein accused Bush of trying to "dictate to America how to live and what to believe in."-
We voted for him, jackass! Pataki didn't have a chance, anyway. I don't want anyone from NY running. Guliani? Forget it!
That's an amazing map. The dem areas are catholic, appears that the message against kerry didn't seem to work.
Pataki and Guliani should both be worried with the stand they have taken with abortion and gay marriages.
They need to stick with state politics and one of them put hillary out of office. I don't know if Pataki can, but after 9-11 I'm sure Rudy can.
You tell him, girl!
Pataki could never become President. You have to have personality to do that!
I don't get the Uhria Heep reference? The only Uhria Heep I've ever heard of was an early 70s hard rock band.
Two freakin' birds of a frickin' feather.
Nice contributon to the thread, AC.
All of us have seen and heard these pro-abort RINOS at Republican functions, talking the Planned Parenthood talk, trying to dilute Pubbie values.
These RINOS are nothing but useful idiots for Republicans. One of the reasons these hangers-on might be kept on in the party is b/c they write big checks.
Uriah Heep is Charles Dickens' "David Cooperfield" character, who is was notorious for wielding undue influence, a bounder who was always planning and plotting, ingratiating himself into the confidence of others. Uriah is obsequious, manipulative, and wormed his way into positions of influence. Not to be trusted, Uriah was a consummate con man.
Translated into the language of the popular culture, the Uriah Heeps position themselves as amenable to conservative qualities of faith and compassion, but are insincere in these feelings, using people only to advance their own agendas and mbiitons.
They've smelled the power of conservatives, and now the Uriah Heeps grow in their desire to exercise control over the Bush agenda and over conservatives.
The Uriah Heeps of the world with their sense of entitlement feed on the victories of others. They become more and more power-hungry and will deploy their self-serviing strategies to selfish purposes.
We need to watch out for them for they will bring more harm to the interetss of the unborn.
At their very core----like this RINO----the Uriah Heeps evince an elitist, unmitigated contempt for Christan conservatives, and all we stand for.
"Crazy atheist barbarians" (Crabs) ........the new nomenclature for this type of individual.....and the one mentioned here is the paradigm "Crab."
I'm sure they are. In the article above, Pataki went ballistic at Finklestein's comments. Ol' George knows he cooked his goose. He and Rudy ain't going anywhere in politics.
I still remember him having the balls to go out in front of the crowd at Yankee stadium and thorw the first pitch in the payoff game. I also remember him going to Iraq. Both were remarkable. For that I admire the man and was a reason why a lot of folks may they be Christian or like me voted for the guy.
what a joke- Paturkey has absolutely no chance of becoming President
