President and Mrs. Bush made a trip to Walter Reed Army Medical Center today to visit at the bedside of soldiers wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan, and with their families. Afterwards he stopped to make a few comments to the press. The President also accepted the resignations of Commerce Secretary, Don Evans and Attorney General, John Ashcroft, and thanked them both for their service.
Earlier in the day, First Lady Laura inaugurated the re-opening of a two block area of Pennsylvania Avenue in front of Lafayette Park, as a pedestrian walkway following a one year rennovation. She and the President will walk there during the Inauguration ceremonies in January.
Its a really good time to be a Bushbot! ENJOY your trip to Sanity Island, and the Daily Dose!!

Quote of the Day: THE PRESIDENT (to the Press Pool at Walter Reed Hospital): And finally, we've got troops in harm's way in the Fallujah area right now, and our prayers are with the soldiers and their loved ones as they're doing the hard work necessary for a free Iraq to emerge. There are still terrorists there who are trying to stop the march of freedom. And at the request of the Allawi government, and alongside of Iraqi troops, coalition forces are now moving in to Fallujah to bring to justice those who are willing to kill the innocent, and those who are trying to terrorize the Iraqi people and our coalition, those who want to stop democracy. And they're not going to succeed. And so we wish our troops all the best and Godspeed to them, as well. Thank you all. .

Top 15 maybe? Thanks, Ohio .. how's Eric doing? I hope he's fine .. I'm sure you're in heaven.
I'm battling change. I had to leave Florida, after 35 years.. too much stress fighting and enduring the hurricanes .. just took me over the edge. I had already lost it all in Andrew, and the signs were deafening that it was time to leave.
Now, I'm in Chicago, near my sons (thank God) .. trying to adjust to living in the city (and I'm right in the heart of it) for the 1st time in my life and being without a car, walking to the grocery store, dealing with the thought of SNOW and WIND, and trains, and starting all over again... again. Shows ya, you just never know what the Lord has planned.. Dosers .. keep me in your prayers, please. I need to get a job, I'm not 32, and all this change is really challenging .. HUGS and thank you so much.
