Roe v. Wade won't change."""

Yes it will, incrementally as a reconstituted court permits states to place regulations, rollbacks and restrictions on abortions within their borders.

Trust me, Lundgren is brain-dead, and such a nomination would be brain-dead. A better California choice for the Supreme Court would be state Supreme Court justices Rodgers or Kennard. But I much prefer Theodore Olsen for the first vacancy other than Rehnquist's.

This first-term group has been a remarkably loyal and steadfast cabinet. I hope the next group serves the President and the country as well as the first termers have.

President Bush unlike the philanderer, has appointed qualified individuals. Clinton used his cabinent to make political payoffs, look back on his appointments and resignations, and the difference is night and day. Janet Reno was just a figurehead, Ron Brown was a bagman, and Les Aspin lasted six months. The only disappointment for President Bush was Treasury Sec.(aside from the dim at transportation)

"WELCOME HOME, Mr. Evans... we don't blame your for wanting to come back to West Texas... God's Country."

LOL! Only those of us from W. Texas are truly able to see it as "Gods Country".

We all expected Ashcroft to go, but I'll admit Evans a bit of a surprise. I think Rumsfeld and Powell will hang for a bit yet, may see Gail Norton, Elaine Chao, Spence Abraham, and Norm Mineta go in the upcoming weeks.

Asa Hutchinson to AG?

Four years ago, that would have been an interesting choice. No mas.

What, and some one that can see the humor in that situation (were it to take place) does not?

I would modify the original statement you took exception to in only one way:

That Mr. Ashcroft gives a message in tongues prior to walking out the door ONLY if some one can provide an interpretation of the tongue so that the revelation from The Spirit can be understood by all...

Good order and proper reverence in the congregation, you know?

Every party needs a pooper

Sorry to rain on your resignation party.

MEXICO CITY - Secretary of State Colin Powell (news - web sites) said Tuesday that President Bush (news - web sites) will place a high priority in his second term on granting legal status to millions of migrants who live illegally in the United States

For AG---- Boyden Gray would be good.
So would Ted Olsen (although I hope he's up for SCOTUS).

Pancreatis is really, really bad. That puts a new light on his resignation. God be with him.

The DUmmies are staying true to their twisted form. One of them is speculating that the new AG will be either Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell.

It would be REALLY funny to see their reaction if a rumor was started that Ed Meese was being considered for the position!

Those DUmmies would go into shock!

That's baloney. The curtain was erected because certain members of the media insisted on framing photos of him with the bare-breasted sculpture directly behind his head.

It had little to do with his small-mindedness and much to do with the media's desire to make him look bad in any way they could.

That's the way to do it. Nibble at it. But a head-on attack will lose and produce a counter-reaction. Don't energize the other side's base.

I have it from solid sources that George W. Bush will be stepping down in the next six months to spend more time with his family.

You're ABSOLUTELY right .. Ashcroft has been a true soldier in this WOD .. relentless and indomitable in his pursuit of America's safety and protection. We WILL never know 1/10th of what his and his lieutenant's actions prevented.

God Bless you and your family, John Ashcroft .. your dedication and determination to keep the evil ones away from us will never be forgotten. You gave of yourself with nobility and served with honor, Sir. Thank you. Enjoy the rest of your life.

How about Ken Starr for the Supreme Court? There shouldn't be any hard feelings left from 1998, so much time has passed...

I read it in online threads and newspaper stories. Best I can do offhand is here, though one of the online threads prob. had links.

Try here: Findlaw Supreme Court Opinions: http://www.findlaw.com/casecode/supreme.html

Hope it helps. You also might try searching keywords on FR.
