No! He hasn't been effective on the Judiciary Committee, so why would he be effective as AG?

"He's not a lawyer or a prosecutor"

His last legitimate employment was as an iron lather.

Orrin Hatch is a wuss...has a whiney (sp?)way of speaking, and talks a better game than he plays.

I can't believe he is being considered.

This was just some nefarious plot to make me have an upset stomach and migraine headache.

Not only is Hatch not the man for the job, he is damaged goods so far as any position of power because of his tainted FBI files.

What's in them, who knows, but he surely went meekly after the Clintons went to work on the knowledge that they were combing them for dirt.

My first instinct say NO but then I thought, we can replace him with a real conservative in the Senate. Interesting.

Orrin "Booby" Hatch is a stinking RINO. He needs to be unseated and gotten rid of.

Senator Hatch's considerable skills would be wasted on the office of Attorney General. We desperately need someone of his stature to take over as Ambassador to Zimbabwe.

If you believe he hasn't been effective on the Judiciary Committee, wouldn't you consider it a plus if he left the Senate and allowed the Seante leadership to appoint a more effective and reliably conservative senator to the committee in his place?

That's effectively what is being proposed here.

He would only be AG for four years.

I would like to see press conferences on our national security conducted totally in song. I would like it more if a whole dance number could be incorporated.
