Gov. Bush Says He's Really, Really Not Running For President
POSTED: 11:10 am EST November 9, 2004
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Read his lips. Gov. Jeb Bush really, really isn't interested in succeeding his brother in the White House or running for the U.S. Senate in 2006. He's not kidding. So stop asking. At least until 2008. Bush reiterated Tuesday that he's not going to run for the Senate when Florida has a seat up in '06, has no designs on the 2008 presidential race and he's getting tired of the question.
So the natural follow-up question? "Might you change your mind?" asked a reporter. "No!" the exasperated governor responded as he entered a state Cabinet meeting Tuesday morning. "Why am I not believable on this subject? This is driving me nuts." But before making that clear, he dodged a question on whether he might "eventually" run for president. "Eventually, what's that?" Bush asked after a sigh and before launching into his oft-repeated pledge to finish his second four-year term as governor, which ends in January 2007. "I'm not running for the United States Senate in 2006 and I'm not running for president in 2008." He never got back to the question about "eventually."

I just can't believe that everyone here doesn't know about this. About what? The non-nepotism thing you refer to without a reference? The piece I posted didn't speak to the subject that I could tell. You got a source that we could take a look at, or do you prefer people take your word for it?

My "source" is my memory.I remember when it was done. You want a better source? Go do the scut work...it's a fact.

"...he's a drunk,a schizophrenic with multiple personality disorder,and/or several different people use his nic to post." LOL...I don't know about all that, but he's definitely not out to win FRiends and influence people...cynical people rarely are...MUD

Go do the scut work...it's a fact. I've got a better idea since it's not that important to me and it seems to have really set you off. YOU made the assertion; YOU produce the documentation....if you can.

I love seeing these Jeb Bush threads. It drives the fringers crazy...NOT ANOTHER BUSH!
One of pat buchanan's latest whines was the President Bush wasn't just winning reelection for himself, he was saving the seat for his brother in 2008. buchanan actually believes that...what a strange bitter person.

I don't do links,I don't know any HTML,and no matter how much you assert its unimportance to you,it is you who appear to haves a bee in your bonnet over it.Sooooooooooooo, you have one of two choices...go look it up,or forget about it. :-)
It's a fact, but unfortunately far too few people on this thread know about it.
To: CWOJackson
I don't which is worse, the moronic threads about how Hilary was somehow going to steal this election (which have been posted here for 2 solid years!),or these Jeb is/just has to be/must be the GOP candidate for '08.
Sometimes the abject lack of knowledge and understanding of politics, here, really shocks me.

"Sometimes the abject lack of knowledge and understanding of politics, here, really shocks me."
Avoid the Spectre threads and the border threads. You wouldn't be shocked any longer, it would only confirm your suspicions.
To: CWOJackson
Been there,seen that,am shocked and still shockable;unfortunately.

I don't do links,I don't know any HTML... I'll make it simple for you. When you find the site that confirms your statement, just tap it out on your cell bars. OR, you could copy the address in the address box at the top of your browser window and paste it right here, on this very thread. Who knows, it might even make a link all by itself.
...go look it up,or forget about it.
Whatever. It's getting late and it's pretty obvious you don't have a reference for your assertion. But, it you're able to come up with something, you be sure to ping me. I'll check back in the morning,er, later this morning. Fair enough?

Admit it, you were starting to miss the 16 hour break we had from all the slanders and hysteria. Now it's back to El Presidenti Bush, Colin Bowel, lesser of two evils, hold their feet to the fire, demand they listen to their base, they owe us.
To: ForGod'sSake
What's a cell bar? Heck...what's the rest of that gibberish?
It's driving you crazy, isn't it,that I know something and refuse to comply with your "orders"...just admit it. Go ahead...you'll feel so much better when you do. :-)
Go try to prove me wrong...why don't you? Give it the old college try. :-)
To: CWOJackson
No way...I was NOT missing it at all and am sick to death of this rampant garbage. :-(
This site needs a clean-up/clean-out!

If there is more than one person in a family who can do the job, what's the problem. Most of my family came over from Spain in the 1500s-1700s, and I can remember when JFK was around, my aunt not liking him and the rest of the Kennedy family because "we came over here to get away from that". When Teddy Kennedy got away with murder/manslaughter (depending on who you ask), that further cemented things for her. Her view was they were treated "just like royalty in the old world".
That may sound silly, especially coming from somebody with a family that hadn't been under any kind of direct royal rule for well over a century, but I know where she is coming from, and I think many others share the sentiment.
Me, personally, I want to bring in new blood. I'm tired of us recycling many of the same people and getting away from our conservative roots.
To: nopardons
I don't have time for your nonsense. You shot your mouth off; now either back it up or back off.
Your tone suggests you owe an apology or two here, but you also sound like a weasel, so it's not likely one will be forthcoming.
Is ignorance truly bliss?

Jeb is very loved among us, and probably well respected by the moderates on the other side. I think they got the picture when they thought that McBride would creme Jeb. It went the other way around!!!</p>
After all our hurricanes I believe both the Bushes increased their popularity's among most Floridian voters except for those now in depression treatment in Boca Raton and WPB!!!

You poor baby...you really are having a problem with this.Name calling isn't going to help you any, pet.
I posted a fact.Go look it up...you appear to have plenty of time to waste, use for something worthwhile. :-)
To: Crimson Elephant
Jeb's problem is that if a Republican wins in 2008 he wouldn't be able to go in 2012 most likely. So what? He's about 8 years younger than W. If he's really interested, he could run in 2016.
