Yes, according to the Prevention of Vice and Promostion of Virtue wing of FR.
Geez, where did you get that propaganda from? It prevents the release of an egg.
On VERY rare occasions it prevents the implantation of a fertilized egg in the uterine wall.
Good luck convincing anything other than a microscopic minority in this country that a single cell is a "baby."
The issue is not whether or not women have a right to take BCP's in America. They do and always will. The issue is whether people of conscience have a right to freely exercise their religious views not to aid and abet what they see as the killing of innocent human life. Two different issues.
What if she presented him with a gun and said she was going to kill someone with it? Must he return the gun? It's her property.
I seem to recall where K-Mart was sued just because they sold ammunition to a guy who later killed someone.
Well, now you're exaggerating. What I said is that property rights sometimes have to take a back seat, that property rights aren't absolute. Do you think they'd let me tear down my house and build a dairy on my property? Did you know that you're not allowed to even use a receiver to pick up satellite TV signals on your property without paying a fee to some company? Property rights have never been absolute!
And, all I can say is that it would be mighty hypocritical of me to claim that I don't have rights to property!! ;-)
LOL, that would violate current laws, whcih I agree with, concerning private property rights. My statement stands, yours doesn't. Try again.
"This is all the fault of George Bush", said Nancy Pelosi. "Next thing you know, pregnant teens will be executed in soccer stadiums........."
What a herd of RINOs you all are!
How am I a RINO?
Hey, who are the RINO's?
If he simply did not want to fill it, he could have returned it to her. He didn't need to keep. He didn't achieve anything, accept causing his company a lawsuit. Congrats.
"Second, how does anybody know what the pills are for? Some women take BC pills because they have heavy bleeding and other medical reasons. It helps regulate their cycle. The woman may be totally abstinent."
Thank you! It amazes me to no end how many people out there think that every woman who takes birth control pills is taking them just so she can go f*#@ the football team. They're used for any number of gynecological conditions and are a Godsend to many women.
If your faith prevents you from doing a job properly, get another line of work.
That didn't happen in the article. Your analogy fails.
That's funny, I recall my taxes being used to fund "Piss Christ", against my will.
No but I have said that ad nauseum already. That really isn't the issue. The issue is does the government have the right to force doctors, pharmacist etc to violtate their moral beliefs on the taking of innocent human life. I think that answer is clear and I am surprised ath resistance to it on this thread.
Yeah, liberals use tort law to circumvent the 2nd Amendment. You think that's a good example of conservative thought?
You do know that BCP's are often used to control erratic cycles, roght?
I really don't know if he did, but if his purpose was just to prevent the use of BCP's to prevent pregnancy, I can join you in hoping that he checked that out first!
Actually, I have trouble imagining that a pharmacist would have the guts to refuse to return a prescription he refused to fill. But, he we are and we have to face reality.
Some pretty powerful moral forces going on in this guy, I'd say. ;-)
LOL, a bit of hyperbole always gets the thread juices flowing.
If they stop you, it was never your property to being with. See my tagline.
No. The issue is about wether or not an employee has the right to refuse to fulfill their job duties.
