Birth control pills, in fact, ARE abortifacients...they do kill a living unborn baby, albeit in a very early stage of the process.

Geez, where did you get that propaganda from? It prevents the release of an egg.

On VERY rare occasions it prevents the implantation of a fertilized egg in the uterine wall.

Good luck convincing anything other than a microscopic minority in this country that a single cell is a "baby."

Only trouble with that logic is that you can extrapolate it to read "...that a two-week old foetus is a baby," "...that a foetus in the first trimester is a baby," or "that a foetus that is in the last trimester but impinges on the 'health' of the mother is a baby."
