A permanent fixture in my kitchen is a step stool, at 5'1" even the first shelf is hard to reach the back of.

Oh, you are a petite one! My sister-in-law is about your height. She has a step stool in her kitchen, too! (I don't! But things I rarely use that are at the *back* of the top shelves, I can't reach without something to stand on)

I looked taller before I gained weight.

This is a fun thread. Wish I had gotten here earlier; been busy with Amy's and the child. She is excited about going to DC on the AIRPLANE!!!

All women are beautiful, some inside, some outside, but our lovely ladies of FR are both.

And *that*, sweet wolfie, is what makes *you* so special to us. :)

I know. : )

Seriously, FR women are *special*. Who else would put up with a mouthy, vain, three legged wolf? LOL!

Well, wolfie had more fur to brush. LOL

Oh. Now waidaminnet! They make luxuriant fur coats out of fox fur - I've never seen a wolf fur coat. :)

Hmmmmm.......wolfie doesn't have to worry about his hide draping a woman's shoulders.
They want him in the altogether. : )

(except for the cowboys and Indians movies when the Indians wore the wolf hides, heads and all! Eeeuuuuuwwww!)

Humph! Indians honor wolves. (Too bad they couldn't do it without skinning first. LOL)

Not that I'd want either of you to be a fur coat. :(

I'm happy to hear it. : )

LOL!

... and, as his sidekick, I'm takin' notes ... )

And you're a fast learner....gonna have to kep an eye on you. You've already wedged your way into wolfie's territory.

Which is a good thing. Even wolfie can handle just so many wimmin' at one time. LOL

Have been occupied most of the day with a joyous visit from my daughter who lives far upstate, and 3 of her 4 children! Her oldest daughter (22 on the 24th) visited us Sunday from college in Columbia.
Just now returning to where I had been reading in the thread, and started with your reply, Dolly:

"why, of why, weren't you "put out for this? told to not move in a painful situation or your kidney would be sliced, seems a bit,... barbaric?"

LOL - think about it! -- if I were "out of it," I most certainly would be breathing in and out against the blade! and ensure I exited the hospital via the morgue, which happened to be across from my office..:))

Many here know I worked in and around medicine for 19 years (after military/retail management years), so was perfectly at ease in all such things, including to myself.
I interacted with the whole hospital in my position as a Department Secretary, and had coffee privileges in the Physician Lounge, so the large hospital (Greensboro, NC major one) was more "home" for 15 years than my house was.

Many here also know some of my hospital and other years' stories, and how God was at work therein in a wonderful way.

By the way, if the Morgue Attendant was out and a funeral home or the Coroner came to get a deceased, I'd log out and release the body and any belongings, so was very much at ease knowing, as Paul described it, that our body is only a *shell* we shed, and the spirit it covered goes to Our Father --- therefore, I was comfortable with that.

There are two very interesting stories the Holy Spirit showed me through this task I'll send you in side mail in a day or two when I'm able, Dolly.

By the way, the biopsy area was deadened and I felt no pain -- besides, the Holy Spirit had in an accident 3 weeks before in a MOST dramatic way removed from me The Spirit of Fear -- oh, the loving preparations and lessons He provides before we need them!!

I suspect you have more than a few stories along these lines from what I've seen of you, and your loving care of your mother ---
