"...a widespread boycott of Hollywood?"

I've boycotted Hollywood and its spin-off industries for many years. And I encourage others to do so. Hollywood has nothing to offer me.

Great post! Yep, it is the culture thing. Pundits and post-
ers from the left feign fear that conservative theocrats are
'heaven' bent on forcing a religious agenda on the masses.
Reality reveals another story. The truth is a good number
of people, the religious and not-so, believe that our pop
culture is driving us to ruin and that the Democrats are
aligned with the drivers.

A party that can't reach Red State voters who shop at Wal-mart and looks down on them faces an uphill fight.

But they are 'true believers'. And remember, at least in the Presidential race, Bush won OH by only 150K or so votes, maybe a lot less after they use these provisionals to stuff the ballot box. This disconnect between America-haters and America is dangerous. It's the product of the LM machine for two decades or more. And they garnered 48% of the popular vote.

I'm worried about this country. Don't rest on success. Always assume you're battling your way through. And I don't think it's a stretch to suggest that, even on 8 NOV 2004, the week after the election.

We won.

We decide.

I say we drill for oil in Malibu.

And strip-mine Hollywood.

Hollywood celebs are the most un-loved people in the world.

Let's face it, our relationship with them is completely utilitarian, if they don't entertain us, we reject them. Instinctively aware of their conditional approval, they constantly seek affirmation for their existence, while at the same time carrying the heavy burden of their certain, (to them) superiority over us.

What we see from them are the actions of an un-loved, yet spoiled child.

Let's build a windmill farm off Barbra Streisand's shorefront property......what a nice view from her rose garden.

I hear there may be environmental hazards under Alec Baldwin's house in the Hamptons........dangerous effluent.....has to be dug up and removed.

Dangerous flattulence too! He can always room with Woody Harrelson.
Don't forget Martin Sheens house. He can live in the guest house, as we need the main residence for the homeless
he invited to Malibu.

Malibu is a nice place to open a federally funded Nigerian Refugee Camp. The Nigerians--- in native dress ---will have such fun frolicking on the beach with tout Hollywood.

""Malibu is a nice place to open a federally funded Nigerian Refugee Camp"

There is plenty of vacant beach land just to the "left" of
Malibu Colony Road. Maybe Sting or Rob Reiner will let us use their media room for an office!

(Sniffle) Out of the goodness of my heart (sob) I, for one, would be willing to ask Congress to allocate $10 billion to federally fund Section 8 HUD housing projects for the disadvantaged and place then in Malibu and Beverly Hills.

Sting and Reiner are so "tolerant and compassionate" I am sure they will help us anyway they can (sniffle).

There is no solution for Hollywood, except for them to realize that they are paid huge sums of money to entertain the rest of America and the other side of that deal is that they not opine on anything of substance because they are, as a group, not very bright.

I man, have you ever LISTENED to Susan Sarandon talk about politics? Just not very bright. Sad, really.

Yes, I can just see them both at the next Malibu city council meeting:

Sting "Have you people lost your bloody minds"??

Reiner "Do you know who I am"??

You left out the need to outlaw any public display of Christianity as a hate crime.

Other than that, I think you have the perfect agenda proposed for the Dems in the 2006 election.
