But, he said: "We are besieged here now. It is a great emotional victory, but bad strategy. It is very easy now for the Americans to come and kill us all."
Yup.

The fighters were already in the street, shouting "Allahu Akbar" every time they heard explosions, believing it would divert the missiles away. This says it all.

"Most of the time, when they weren't reading or praying, they spoke about death, not fearfully, but in happy anticipation. They talked about how martyrs would not feel pain and about how many virgins they would get in heaven."

Fascinating.
Kill em all.

Problem is you are not an "infidel". On the other hand, the Arabs interviewed by the writer of the article are, in point of fact, hypocrits, and therefore fitting targets for death dealing machines wielded by the righteous.

"The world is convinced that we people of Falluja are happy to kill the innocents, that's not true, even when we execute collaborators and people working for the Americans, I feel sad for them and sometimes cry, but this is a war."Gosh, what a sensitive guy. </puke>

When it was time to break their fast, the men poured food into a big tray and, exchanging jokes, scooped rice with their fingers. I had to keep reminding myself that these people blow up civilians every day in Iraq. So why are you giving them any press time what so ever? What we need are some suicide newsmen that will blow themselves up after their interview of these killers.

"There were two kinds of mujahideen bound together in a marriage of convenience. One kind, Arab fighters from the new generation of the jihad diaspora, were teachers, workers and students from across the Arab world feeling oppressed and alienated by the west; they came to Iraq with dreams of martyrdom." Oh poor babies they're feeling "less than" apparently. Oh well there's nothing like killing a few unbelievers to cheer a downhearted Muslim up! May they all rot in hell for an eternity.

Well the article doesn't say exactly, it continues to appear that much, if not most, of the "insurgency" is from elsewhere.
Yet for the most part, this article being a notable exception, this merits little attention in the press. I wonder why that might be???

Hasz anyone seen the Iraqi soldiers manhandling the terrorists they captured? They reminded me of Union airport workers stacking luggage...

He fiddled with the gun for a few minutes, then turned to me: "Do you know how to make these things work?" So, a mighty mujahedeen turns to a journalist and asks, "Do you know how to make these things work?" Speechless. Just speechless.
