Excellent map. Found it on a thread on AR15.com. Trying to figure out how to print it all out.

Someone should save it and keep it on their server, to avoid the dreaded "red X" phemomenon, if the guy's bandwidth is exceeded on the Squabble site.

I do not like that ugly blue line snaking up the Mississippi River. Must be university towns.

At least 4 of the blue Michigan counties are university towns.

What's with that one blue county up in Wyoming? I think most of that is national park lands. Perhaps Jackson, WY, turned it blue (the color of Tidy Bowl). That's the county where Cheney has his place, I think.

Mono county in California (oblong county to the east of SF, on the border with Nevada) is now tied at 2200-2200 and once the absentees are fully counted, it will go to W.

Bush carried Cameron County, Texas, the southernmost tip of Texas. This map is showing that it went to Kerry?

I first saw this map about 2 days ago. I did check it visually against all the others I've seen to see that it was pretty accurate. Can't vouch for every county, though, including the S. Texas one you mention.

Maybe it's something in the water.

No, these are the counties where the nation's poorest blacks live in high percentages. Kerry counties this year, to be sure, but very faithful and someday might become Republican as they identify less and less with the white, elistist, rich lefties that populate the West Coast and New England.

This map is proof positive that the Electoral College fulfills the framers' intent -- that a few highly-populated urban areas do not dominate the more rural states.
