Cheap airfare to Washington DC and the Presidential Inauguration. (SUPER COOL VANITY)
Posted on 11/08/2004 1:56:34 PM PST by kyperman
OK all...it's official, I am going to DC on Jan 20 for the inauguration. I got my plane tickets today. For any of you living in the Midwest, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, etc. There is a regional carrier called Independence air. I am not sure about what cities they fly from, but I am leaving from Lansing Michigan to DC. I am paying 68 bucks round trip!!!!! This is a new (jetBlue) type carrier. Check it out...can't believe the deal.

Is that flying inside the craft? In a seat or bag? Does this craft use jet fuel, or diesel?

I think you just have to put one of your arms out the window and flap really hard.

Instead of paying a fortune for a taxi when you get there you can catch a flybus right out front of the terminal which will take you to the West Falls Church Metro stop. From there you can catch the metro into DC, close to hotels. Total cost about $10 one way.

Seriously, I haven't heard of this airline...but if the price is right and it looks safe, I'd do it too.
To: kyperman
It looks like it is $68 each way to me, but still not bad.
To: jennyjenny

JetBlue is a good airline, IMHO. I would book with them again.

I have flown Independence air a couple of time. Definately a no frills airline, but there is nothing wrong with that. My brother and I have both had some delays with them, but planes are new, and clean, and they get you there

I flew Independence Air in October and just got tickets today to fly to DC in December. No frills but no problems! I am thrilled to have a low cost airline fly out of our city.
