The good news is Live Aid is coming out on DVD. Any Led Zeppelin is good even "that" off performance.

Damned tree-huggers!

All they do is smoke dope all day and smell bad.

Except Plant and Page already got their set pulled - it's not on the DVD...

Co-drummers. Phil Collins was one. He flew from the Euro show to the Philadelphia show where the rest of Led Zepp played. Also, Tony Thompson, who is now deceased.

Was it because of the technical problems? It was weak.

Apparently they weren't happy with the sound - my guess is, reaching back into the dim mists of my memory, that they weren't too happy with their own performance either....

Phil Collins, and he sucked. Rumor has it Plant reamed him after the show.

The other drummer was Tony Thompson. Thompson is one of three musicians who drummed with Plant and who is now deceased (Bonham and Cozy Powell).

There were other reasons the surviving members of Zeppelin weren't satisfied with their performance at Live Aid. Robert Plant's voice was hoarse and his teenage daughter even called him from England to say she was disappointed and Jimmy Page's guitar was out of tune after being shipped to him in a case. I'm one of the lucky people who has it on video because my dad taped four videos worth of Live Aid that day.

My old tagline:

Bob Geldof: "President Bush is radical, in a positive sense. Clinton did f*&% all." (talking about AIDS & Africa).

The same. There's a web site sporting his name. He died back in 1998. He recorded a song or two with Plant on Plant's first solo CD.
