I noticed this on the 2000 map as well, but the red point sticking out to the west in Washington state is the Macah Indian reservation. It is puzzling to me, although it is a dry reservation, no drinking within I think twelve miles, so perhaps they vote on values. Of course, they do hate Greenpeace who always tries to stop their whale hunt, so perhaps that accounts for it.

Yes...Thurston County in northeast NE (home of the Winnebago and Omaha Indian reservations) went blue by 109 votes.

I can't understand that either. The big blue area in northeast MN is an Indian reservation. Mostly unpopulated. Lots of forest and swamps. Strange how he won the state based on that. I guess Duluth and the Twin Cities.

Delaware, Maryland and Illinios show very little blue. Wonder how Kerry won them.Easy. Early and frequent voting in Wilmington, Baltimore and Chicago.

The spin from the left now is half the people voted for Kerry so Bush doesn't have a mandate.

This is the first time I've seen this graphic, but I like it. What does the different shading represent? Population or percentage?

Nevadans are good people. Paul Laxalt was always one of my favorite senators. Even Harry Reid was relatively moderate and civil for a Democrat, before he rose too high in the leadership ranks. Too bad about Clark County. You need to be more selective about who you let move in.
As for Utah, my favorite county there is Utah county. Beautiful country and the most conservative part of the state. I don't think a liberal could get elected dog-catcher of Orem. Am I right? What do you put in the water out there to make people so sane?

Strange, That would be Thurston county and I looked it up on the CNN electorial map and Bush won it big.

But when Algore got 500,000 more votes, then they considered Bush illegitimate. But they are willing to steal it from Bush and him with 3.5 million more votes.
