If Specter gets his Chairmanship, let's boycott Santorum in 2006 (A Threat)

Posted on 11/07/2004 3:05:58 PM PST by Remember_Salamis

We must make it perfectly clear to Rick Santorum that if he lets Specter chair the judiciary committee, we WILL NOT SUPPORT HIM in 2006 for Senate. Instead, we will support Pat Toomey.

We must also make it perfectly clear to Bill Frist that if he does not block Specter Chairmanship, he might as well not even enter the 2008 primaries.

Both of these men hold the power over Specter and we must threaten to boycott their futures if they ignore their base.

We WILL be paying for if another conservative judge gets "Borked" by Specter.

Another? Which were the others?

The coming judicial fights are going to be very tough and we need the BEST MAN for the job. Specter has shown he can't stand up against the Dems. Consider the following:

1. His support of abortion.

2. He has made clear that he will block any judge that believes in strict construction.

3. Trial lawyers like him, Chuck Schumer likes him, and the mainstream media LOVES him.

4. He voted against Robert Bork.

5. He also has voted wrong on taxes, defense, pork barrel spending, school choice, tort reform and parental notification, to name just a few.

6. He secured the release of murderer Ira Einhorn, who fled to France.

7. He is a backstabbing RINO, therefore can't be trusted.

8. We need a strong object lesson to other RINOs, who are learning disabled.

Hey CWO, why didn't you go for the full commission? Couldn't pass those pesky upper-level classes and had to settle for the Associates Degree?

"How can Bush have a mandate if even his own supporters are not willing to allow him a few days peace after a grueling election."

His "supporters" are.

Correction. The previous should be:

How can Bush have a mandate if even his own "supporters" are not willing to allow him a few days peace after a grueling election.

Santorum is the last surviving conservative Republican in the whole northeast. There is a reason for that. Frankly, we need to encourage more moderate Republicans because otherwise we just cant win there. Yes I would rather have moderate Republicans then liberal Democrats. Wouldn't you?

"Hey CWO, why didn't you go for the full commission?"

Another demonstration of your military intelligence? Apparently it has escaped your vast knowledge that one of the Armed Forces does commission it's warrant officers. In fact, I probably have more time sitting on the crapper since I was commissioned then you have had out of diapers.

But thanks for demonstrating your level of intelligence yet again.

No. Actually Santorum in the first of the new wave of conservatives in the north east. More will be elected...Ohio is a red state. WV is a red state...PA will be next time.

I never heard you speak out against them.

Telling, if you ask me.

I have a Master's degree, and I was in the Marines before the Navy. Would that encourage you to knock of the stupid comments towards CWO if I asked you to? You are wrong, get over it, and knock off the crap.

He's frantically googling trying to find out which branch of the Armed Forces commissions it's warrants. I have to admit, I find it regretable that the Air Force has fallen on such hard times as to make him "airman" material.

Yes, but I would rather have 54 GOP senators and John Kyl Chairing the Judiciary Committee than 55 GOP Senators and Specter Chairing the Judiciary Committee.

Moderates are fine as long as they're not in any of the important poisitons. Lincoln Chafee sits on the foreign Relations Committee. How would you feel about him being the Chairman?

I said "full Commisison". So, why didn't you get the Bachelors' and go for the full commission. Was it the upper-level classes or was it the lack of leadership needed to become and officer?

Do you feel them coming out of the woodwork? Here come the Bush Bashing Brigades, for whom happiness is just not possible.

We won the damn election, but here they come, knives bared, looking to punish instead of participate.

I said "full Commisison".

LOL! I love it when the terminally dumb stand there bashing their heads against the wall.

Yes, fully commissioned, not warranted. One branch of the Armed Forces has been FULLY commissioning their warrant officers for many, many years.

Difficult concept there to understand huh sparky?

"Forgive my ignorance, but what does Rick Santorum have to do with this? Senator Frist is majority leader."

As majority leader, Sen. Frist technically has the power to appoint all committee chairman in the Senate. However, the practical reality is he will seek a consensus among his colleagues. He could use the support of Santorum, who is Republican Conference Chairman.

A polite phone call to Sen. Santorum would help the cause.

The beauty of it is, "we" did win the election, "they" didn't. Even if they voted for President Bush, it's readily apparent to "them" that they lost. So they wrap themselves in their grief and lament aloud.

I doubt that the White House will even take notice of them. The President has shown a tremendous ability to ignoring distractions...in particular the minor ones.
