If Specter gets his Chairmanship, let's boycott Santorum in 2006 (A Threat)

Posted on 11/07/2004 3:05:58 PM PST by Remember_Salamis

We must make it perfectly clear to Rick Santorum that if he lets Specter chair the judiciary committee, we WILL NOT SUPPORT HIM in 2006 for Senate. Instead, we will support Pat Toomey.

We must also make it perfectly clear to Bill Frist that if he does not block Specter Chairmanship, he might as well not even enter the 2008 primaries.

Both of these men hold the power over Specter and we must threaten to boycott their futures if they ignore their base.

I think we have a difference of opinion here. I got to meet Mr. Toomey (VERY briefly) I like him both as a person and candidate, I just think republicans would have lost the seat. Either way, Specter needs to be dealt with now.

"You're a bit dense."

LOL! I could never compete with you in that area. I'd put your density in par with expended uranium projectiles; hard headed and toxic.

Which are admirable qualities for projectiles of course. In that regard, you're more of a dud.

No. I believe in the base holding our elected officials accountable. I never said "let's remove him". I said we need to left him know that he CANNOT ignore his base.

Rick Santorum has gone to bat for us and stuck his neck out where many others dared not go -- your latest attack is overwhelmingly ridiculous.

At least he/she/it isn't spouting "lesser of two evils" BS. That usually goes hand in hand with the protest vote garbage.

SANTORUM IS NOT IGNORING HIS CONSERVATIVE BASE!!! You are a Kalifornian, living in Hawaii...I don't claim to know the the ins and outs of either Kalifornia of Hawaii...and you shouldn't claim to threaten political consequences for a Senator who does not represent your state. As a conservative, you have the motherlode of liberals representing CA...go to work volunteering to unseat them...or find a solid conservative in Hawaii...but leave Pennsylvania off your agenda...you don't know what you are talking about.

Don't hold your breath.
The childish threat is bad enough.
God, I wish we'd quit eating our own.

As I am active-duty military, I am LEGALLY restricted from taking part in certain partisan activities. I do what I can with some of the local Reps. here, but I am very limited in what I can do. See "The Hatch Act" for details.

"We" don't, "they" do. Fortunately "they" are a fringe minority.

There you go again. Say, have you ever ran into "lewislynn" on these boards? Lewislynn posts on tax-reform threads often in opposition to tax reform. Lewislynn resorts to calling people idiots and NEVER directly answers a question. You two would hit it off!

I stand duly corrected.
It is THEY, not us.

Forgive my ignorance, but what does Rick Santorum have to do with this? Senator Frist is majority leader.

"There you go again."

Actually there you are, still going...like a dementing little energizer bunny with a bad odor. Entertaining but not taken seriously.

I promise to not vote for President Bush in 2008.
That will show him.:)

Oh Sandy, haven't you heard?
Rick campaigned alongside his senior senator.

"Some" think Rick should have endorsed Toomey
in the primary.

U.S. forces stormed into western districts of Fallujah early Monday, seizing the main city hospital and securing two key bridges over the Euphrates river in what appeared to be the first stage of the long-expected assault on the insurgent stronghold.

An AC-130 gunship raked the city with 40 mm cannon fire as explosions from U.S. artillery lit up the night sky. Intermittent artillery fire blasted southern neighborhoods of Fallujah, and orange fireballs from high explosive airbursts could be seen above the rooftops.

BOYCOTT, BOYCOTT, BOYCOTT!
