Kerry Won. . . Greg Palast November 04, 2004
Bush won Ohio by 136,483 votes. In the United States, about 3 percent of votes cast are voidedknown as spoilage in election jargonbecause the ballots cast are inconclusive. Drawing on what happened in Florida and studies of elections past, Palast argues that if Ohios discarded ballots were counted, Kerry would have won the state. Today, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports there are a total of 247,672 votes not counted in Ohio, if you add the 92,672 discarded votes plus the 155,000 provisional ballots. So far there's no indication that Palast's hypothesis will be tested because only the provisional ballots are being counted.
Greg Palast, contributing editor to Harper's magazine, investigated the manipulation of the vote for BBC Television's Newsnight. The documentary, "Bush Family Fortunes," based on his New York Times bestseller, The Best Democracy Money Can Buy, has been released this month on DVD .
Within a month, the Dems will be back at recounting the votes in Florida---year 2000.
must we bve subjected to the delusions of dem dreamers, GET OVER IT YOU LOST!
So this clown is saying all spoiled ballets were for Kerry.
I wonder what his basis is for that, only RAT morons spoil ballets, gee I guess Kerry did win
Can anyone say "ho-hum?" Actually, I think GW won Oregon, Wisconsin, and New Hampshire, and I'm sure that a similar recount would show that.
How long can the left accuse blacks of being too stupid to vote and continue to hold 90% of their support?
This is just offensive.
Wasn't Kerry's margin in PA less than W's in Ohio?
What else can you expect from tompaine.com...?
"Bill Moyers is a broadcast journalist currently hosting the PBS program Now With Bill Moyers. Moyers also serves as president of the Schumann Center for Media and Democracy, which gives financial support to TomPaine.com."

I heard this guy on the Brian Lehrer show (WNYC-NPR station). I don't think even the host was buying what Mr. Palast was selling.
Isn't it true that Bill Moyers' son runs Tom Paine?
Consider the math here. If there are 247,672 uncounted ballots in Ohio and Bush's lead is 136,483 votes then Kerry would have to win the remaining tally by 192,078 to 55,594 to win or, to put it in terms of percentages, Kerry would have to have 77.6% of the remaining votes to 22.4% for Bush. That is a ridiculous fantasy!
Hi, KFAT:
Michael Medved had Mr. Palast on his radio show Friday evening. Mr. Palast sounded like a corrupted CD (I would have used Broken Record for the oldsters, but...) Constantly falling back on "Disenfranchised" voters. Who "everyone knows, are black!" Which seemed to be his only Talking Point. Needless to say, the interview got realllly old. Reallllly fast.
In the interim, Medved and many, many callers tore Mr. Palast a new rectal orfice. While Palast lamely referred to callers as bigots and homophobes.
Spoliage has been and always will be a factor in elections. The Dems' lawyers didn't seem to have a problem with it four years ago.
Why now?
Jack.

(Oh, nice editorial by John Moyers at this link, btw...)
"Actually, I think GW won Oregon, Wisconsin and New Hampshire,...."
That's what is so ridiculous. If Ohio can be challenged, the Republicans should have 6-7 states they could challenge, with probably a far more likely chance of reversal, especially as voter fraud is unearthed.
Where would we be without experts? (See my tagline.)
brilliant.
a lot can be read into a ballot with no vote marked on it.
