Distraught over the re-election of President George W. Bush, a Georgia man traveled to New York City, went to Ground Zero and killed himself with a shotgun blast, police said yesterday.
The suicide victim, Andrew Veal, 25, was discovered just before 8 a.m. yesterday when a worker for the Millennium Hotel looking at Ground Zero from an upper floor saw a man lying atop the concrete structure through which the 1 and 9 subway lines run.

I said it on a different thread and I'll repost it:
The unprecedented campaign of scare-mongering and HATE by the left drove him to this. He really believed their lies and thought the world was coming to an end. The left should feel this is on their hands

This is blood on the hands of Michael Moore, the Democratic party, and all those who fostered the hatred of the President.

Thats exactly where I place the blame. Those who fueled the fires of hate and hysteria with their scare-mongering campaigns are the ones who will answer to God about this and any other 'victims'.

We made a lot of jokes before the election, but the sad thing is some people really believed the leftist propaganda and were/are frightened

Very, very sad that someone could be driven to this
extreme.I could not stand clinton, esp after he was
re elected, but never did I have thoughts of suicide.
My thoughts were more in line with HOW CAN WE PREVENT
THIS FROM HAPPENING AGAIN.

You know the MSM is going to turn this against Republicans. There will probably be a piece on it on 60 min, 20/20,1 or one of those type shows.
You know it is going to happen. They won't dare put the blame where it lies.. on the Democrat evil machine.

I was suicidal after Clinton's reelection, but took a deep breath and figured there would be a way to get through it.
I guess we need to watch out for any acquaintances or friends that might be ardent Dims (and not call them Dims). I know my family is ripped right now. Cousins that hate Bush... I have to bite my tongue to not totally insult them. But they're considering Canada... not suicide. We need to pray that there aren't more instances such as this.

If he had truly believed in his cause, he would have stuck around to keep fighting for it. Instead, he took the cowards's way out, proving that it was all about him all along. He was a selfish deserter of his own cause who left a horrifying mess for the people of New York City to clean up.

This is blood on his own hands.
Personally, it wouldn't bother me a bit if a whole bunch of Democrats followed suit.
To: TeemuSan
I consider the Democrat brainwashing machine responsible for this man's death.

Exactly! The idea that kids are being offered counseling to get over their grief from this election is another sign of the dem idiocy! The burden that has been placed on people because of ill-founded fear is definitely the fault of the media and the left radicals. This is the same thing that the Kerry crew did back in the 70's.
