Garrison Keelihor On NPR, Just Likened Us To Witches! Why Do We Fund NPR?

Keelihor's program on NPR, Prairie Home Companion, is often clever and amusing. But, he has been a scumbag Kerry advocate for some time now. He, like so many of the ultra-left wingers believe that snide and clever glibness is all that is required to have leftie "feelings" wim.
He just read a piece he claimed was by Thomas Jefferson in which Jefferson indicates that the influence of witches will pass, suggesting I guess, that the control of Republican good guys will also pass. There also was some pointed comments about born again Christians and the negative influences of religion.
As I said, I find this program often clever and amusing with good music. I assume, in fact, that child molester Yarrow and Peter, Paul and Mary will be on frequently in the future. But, I don't like criticsm, especially, silly, factually inaccurate criticism when I'm paying for it.

Al Franken says that he's being approached to run for Senate in his native Minnesota. He just might do it since time is running out on HotAir America. I wonder how Keillor -- a certified radio superstar who is synonymous with Minnesota while Franken is still known as a former Saturday Night Live schtickster -- will feel about that!

Now the opening was a bit funny in that you knew the man was reeling from 11/2:
Garrison said he was working fro a Constitution Amendment to revoke the right to vote for "born again" Christians. (audience goes wild) The punch line was that since the are Citizens of Heaven, they should have the vote. If they get to vote, why not Canadians or Scandinavians ...
It was the pain and confusion that was the most entertaining.

My Daughter just passed by the computer and said, who is that, I told her, it is Garrison Keillor . She said for a minute she thought it was Michael Moore who had let himself go. Says a lot about Garrison's personal grooming habits, if he grooms less than Moore.

Yeah, with liberals its like messing with the box from "Hellraiser" you don't know whats going to happen. How about we check the box "NO" for NPR and the money goes into a fund to help liberals with immigration costs to get into Canada therefore killing two birds with one stone. The remaining funds go into tax relief to all who checked the box in the following year.

"Why Do We Fund NPR?"Because we keep hoping they'll like us?
Because we're stupid?
What other choice is there?

Jefferson said this in the same letter:
It is true that we are compleatly under the saddle of Massachusets & Connecticut, and that they ride us very hard, cruelly insulting our feelings as well as exhausting our strength and substance. Their natural friends, the three other eastern States, join them from a sort of family pride, and they have the art to divide certain other parts of the Union so as to make use of them to govern the whole.
Reminds me of Skeery and the Libs

This is sad. I used to love this guy. I have not heard him in years. When did he become a hack? When he sold out Minnesota to move to New York. He had to become condescending to the Prairie Folk back home...
Full Disclosure: I used to live in Minnesota. Still miss the nature.

He's a sanctimonious bore and ought to be de-funded. Let the marketplace judge who belongs on radio.

You finally nailed it... The weird hostility coming from the dem. party is nothing more than a witch hunt. You see it in the violence leading up to the election. You see it in the unhinged rage coming from the left. The lefties have been blacklisting the right for years, but are now finally copping to it.

Actually we don't need either of the NEAS.

[Jefferson quote deleted. Asbestos suit DONNED.]
Associating Christians with witchcraft is like associating the NAACP with the Klan.
Even allowing for analogies to Ezekiel 8 and the Church of Thyatira in Revelation 2...

There was a letter allegedly from Elizabeth Edwards to the DUmmies in DUmmieland that contained the same quote. Correct. Is this quote some new Democrat talking point?
