Took the kids to see the Incredibles today. Loved it. Lots of humor for parents as well as action for children. Great character depth. Highly recommend it.

Good for the single-digit set (ages 5 and 9, in my case)? I was puzzled to hear one reviewer say flatly that it is not for little kids.

I've wanted to see The Incredibles since I saw the previews for it on Finding Nemo. Sounds really good. I loved Shrek also, and expect Shrek II tp be good too.

For young children it's perhaps too fast paced and more like an animated action flik. I took my ten year old to see it today, and was pleasantly surprised at my own enjoyment level with the film. Positive messages as well.

I can't wait for the extended version LOTR: Return of the King DVD.
That should be out this month.

There are "violent" scenes in "The Incredibles"..lot of blowing up cars, machines, etc. Depends on what your definition of "little kids" are. Ages 8 and below, don't bother to take. It will just go over there heads.

Heard someone mention Ayn Rand in connection with The Incredibles.
Can you comment since you've seen it?

Our family just watched the Shrek2 dvd.
Puss'nBoots steals the show.
He gets the biggest laugh.
Very enjoyable parody of Hollywood.
To: OldFriend
I missed the Ayn Rand comment. May have been taking my 5 year old to the bathroom.
The violence doesn't bother my kids (5, 7, 11). They know all the Lord of the Rings by heart.
Shrek II is also very funny, good and with another good message. That's some fairy godmother.
To: freedom44
The Incredibles is a must-see.
