The one hopeful thing is the outpouring of Christian sentiment. You can't beat something with nothing. And right now militant Islam is very appealing to young people looking for a 'cause' to live for. Christianity has been suppressed to the point where there's nothing to stand up for... I hope more Europeans re-embrace their heritage.

From a physical point of view, it's still not too late. There are more Europeans than Muslims still, and the Europeans own the armies and the police.
But that's assuming they can wake up and smell the roses. It's extremely doubtful that they will until too late. So far no one but the extremists and the nut cases seem to understand what is at stake, and the way they have presented the case has persuaded the majority that they are nasty racists.
The Europeans only have one way out of this mess. 1) Round up the Muslims and ship them out, right now, while they are still a minority. 2) Throw away their condoms and birth control pills, get properly married, and start having more European babies. 3) Spend some of their money on self-defense instead of on toys and drugs. 4) Start going to church again.
The likelihood of their doing anything like this is just about zero. They won't wake up until the Muslims start slitting their throats en masse, and then it will be too late.

And Christians have beem in the middle-east almost 8 centuries before Mohammad was born!! What is his point? When was the last time a church was built on islamic lands or a synagogue or a shrine of other faiths? How come there are no christians in the ME anymore? There is a clear disconnect here. Islam's growing reality in Europe is chafing against a secular one that is demographically imploding, which does not want to come to terms with this reality.
Multiculturalism is a one way street for muslims that want to live in europe or anywhere in the west. There will be a day of reckoning and I see a future in which tolerance to immigrants (unfortunately all) give way to fear then anger and finally fascism. Europe has see this before and unfortunately will see it again.

Unfortunately, I think the vast majority of Europeans have lost their backbone--they have become almost hopelessly liberal, secular, and (most of all) complacent. Two World Wars in one century probably killed off a lot of the Alpha male gene pool over there. Unlike previous Muslim invasions (and this IS an invasion), this one is relatively peaceful and taking place in slow motion. As a result, there is no real tipping point or sense of impending crisis--this takes advantage of European complacency.
I predict that dealing with the Muslim problem will be the trigger that finally wakes Europeans up from their spiritual coma. I can't predict what will cause European attitudes to change; it may simply be a new generation that grows up feeling more threatened than free. When they start to finally take back their land, it will be the cause that defines a generation. Unfortunately, the cost will be very high and it may be too late to save all of Europe as we have known it.
