Question: Is this for real? I mean, really really real?

I've wondered myself. I didn't find it at Snopes. I did ask them to look into it.

Here's a side-note. My schooling was in New England- Massachusetts to be precise! I'm a babyboomer, and when I was growing up New Englanders were an independent and self-sufficient bunch. The word welfare was used in ref to safety or general health. If a family was in trouble financially, the doctor wouldn't charge them for visits, the bank would let the mortgage go a few months, and the church would make sure the kids were fed and cared for. This almost never happened- New Englanders were hard and honorable workers.

When I go home now, I keep looking to see these people, hoping they're still there...hoping against hope. I'm sure in some little villages, pockets of sanity are still there...I just don't see them.

The welfare state has seriously eroded both the ability and willingness of people to personally help others, even family members. The idea of personal obligation to others has been replaced by impersonal obligation exercised through the government and paid for by taxes. The widespread attitude is "I pay taxes, let the government handle the problem." Even non-taxpayers toss their responsibilities into the government's lap.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.) [ala unfit pro-Maoist Sen. John Kerry]

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States. [The Democrat party IS the CAPTIVE.]

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
[Tacit mandate to favourably review literature and authors with "pro-socialist themes"]

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures. [What could be more obvious right now!]

"We need a new Senator McCarthy."

We need an informed citizenry and an educated youth.

The communist imperative of "Perverse Opposition" is to
relentlessly hypercriticize, vilify, defame the opposition.
(e.g., pathological Bush-Bash!)

"Support whatever the enemy opposes;
oppose whatever the enemy supports." by Mao based on Marx.

According to Mao, the "enemy" is anyone who opposes communism whether parent or friend.

Law students exercise argument - arbitrary adversary is a Mind Game. (ref:the ACLU)

Communist Manifesto is the very antithesis of American independence and governance precepts.

David Horowitz is a reformed generational communist.

Horowitz started the free speech in academics' movement to counter the oppressive "liberal" leftist domination/brainwash in universities.

Also, read Ronald Rodash who is as astute as Horowitz, and has a similar former communist background.

Also, read Ben Shapiro's BRAINWASHED and his published articles in TownHall.com.

Another imperative of pro-communist activism to "Lie & Deny" - use any "means to justify the end."

Note that all opponents to communism (& to Amer."liberal" agenda activism)are attacked with mandated ad hominem warfare: "whackjobs" "looney" "paranoic" "facist" "moron"
"xenophobe", "warmonger," "bible thumper", "capitalist pig", "bigot", etc, etc. Oh, yeah: "McCarthyite" is an ad hominem too.

Compare these dynamics to the current Democrats' reactions during the last four years up to post election.
