This guy on one of the MSM shows this morning was talking about how amazing it was that a president with Bush's low job approval rating could possibly win.

I just screeched at the TV "HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT HIS JOB APPROVAL RATING IS?? DID SOMEONE DO A POLL?????"

We know the polls are skewed.

Where I used to work, the office was divided into the twenty somethings and the rest of us.

I spoke to a former co-worker after the election, and six out of 9 of the twenty somethings voted for Bush -- and this is in the Metro NYC area mind you.

Many of the older folks were livid, one even saying "f**king Christians and Catholics ruined our country".

Too bad I wasn't there, because I'd have responded " go read the Constitution, the Federalists papers, and the writings of our forefathers. Then you'll discover that you and those who think like you ruined this country. We are just trying to restore it! And as far as your bigoted comment goes, I'll be making a complaint to Human Resources"

Good point about the 2010 census--every census in recent decades has seen the Sunbelt gain electoral votes at the expense of the Rustbelt.

Of course a President Rodham would have put her henchmen in charge of the Bureau of the Census, and they could try again to use estimates instead of actual enumeration. Some of the new electoral votes are likely to go to states that are safe (like California) or winnable with the help of voter fraud (like Nevada and Florida) so the net loss to the 'Rats may be only a few votes.

If Godzhillary has her way, by 2012 we'll be having Soviet-style elections anyway.

I have a bit over 60 employees. Most are under 40, about a third are in their twenties. All know my politics, though don't all agree. I tread lightly when discussing the administration, as not to open myself to a suit.

Wednesday, after a sleepless night, waiting for a concession speech (we was robbed) and Bush coming out to greet his awaiting populous, I was greeted by some of the youngest of my staff. They wondered if we could have a celebratory party!!!

I was floored. They weren't brown-nosing, wither. I could see in their eyes that they felt relieved, happy, with the outcome.

I moved to Florida from Massachusetts in 2001. I still have some feeling for the Bay State. Patriots: World Champs. Red Sox: World Champs. John F'n Kerry: World CHUMP.

Is that true about CA? What's up w that? EVERY vote should be counted, regardless of the perceived outcome. You know the DIMS would be SCREAMMMMMMMING that they were disinfranchised if Calif went for Bush and there were a lot of absentee votes not counted. I'm also interested in PA military votes as well as WI absentee votes (since the difference there was only about 11k)

WA state report - as of last night, there were still a little over 362K absentee votes to be counted.
Current totals: Bush: 1,130,537; Kerry: 1,305,868 (diff = 175,331) Gregoire: 1,192,259; Rossi: 1,188,258 (diff= 4,001) Remaining votes in King County (the Seattle liberal area = 119,000) Other left-leaning counties = approx 57k

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Rossi can pull this out (based on my calculations, he's doing better %-wise than Bush in King and other liberal counties). If he does, 1st Rep Gov in WA in at least 20 Years!!!

When will the PA military votes be in and counted? Anyone know ?

Last I heard was that all ballots received in PA by the 10th day following the election will be counted. I would expect a final count around Nov. 17th since they will take a few days to manually count.

I believe that every state counts all their votes. Gans said that CA counted it's last ballot on 12-1 after the 2000 election.

Ther is no government site for national results. There is no federal elction for president, just 51 individual ones.

Updates will continue on the CNN site for some time. The individual states are in the process of counting all their absentee and mail-in ballots. This may take several more weeks.

My 18 yr. old voted and he listens to that "thug" music all the time. Of course, he voted for Pres. Bush. Maybe p.diddy didn't count on kids being smart when he rushed to sign them up. They figured out that "vote or die" thing for themselves.

[ I am one who would rejoice over the total destruction of the 'rat party....... ]

AND as the pubbie party moves ever leftward, what THEN ?..

Currently the republican party generally occupys space once owned by the democrat party.. As true democrats notice that and move to the republican party... WHO THEN WON ?..

With republicans leaning left and democrats leaning even lefter... how long before they fall over.. Since I'm leaning right the lefters already seem to have fallen and can't git up.. I've had it.. I'm straitening back up and this election is my LAST reactionary vote.. I'm not reacting to bad verses worse candidates anymore.. even if and when Hillary runs..

Bent over sideways is NOT a way look at political life and I refuse to do it anymore.. Guess I'm hard line polarized.. I'm so right wing I've fallen off the damn bird.. and parachuting toward "what?". I don't know but its got to better than that damn filthy old louse eaten bird..

"Theres a hard rain gonna fall"(Dylan) and I'm willing to get my raincoat wet.. Not soaked to the skin yet..

Bill Simon on NPR this morning, (I know, I know (eyes rolling)hubby was listening BUT I got him to switch to Laura Ingraham during the week) anyway he posed a question to a guest which made me livid. He said, paraphrasing, How could a president, with such a low approval rating, have won?

HA!

Low approval rating!? Who are they kidding!?

OK, perhaps not a Federal site, but a more accurate site. For instance, Yahoo is more up-to-date than the CNN link referenced here.

http://news.yahoo.com/electionresults

I know the states all feed data in, I'll find it. Thanks.
