WASHINGTON -- Despite Republican victories in the elections this week, much of President Bush's agenda faces considerable head winds in Congress, particularly the Senate. Doubts among some Republican moderates in Congress and, more significant, steadfast opposition from liberal Democrats in the Senate still present obstacles to such key elements of the Bush agenda as limiting medical malpractice lawsuits and reshaping the Supreme Court with new appointments.

Won't hurt to 'remind' our Repub. Senators and even our Dem ones from time to time just WHO won a decisive majority in this last election, and just WHO delivered it. Some of those who are up for re-election in 2006 may need a virtual 2 by 4 upside their pointy heads, but we're up to the task of delivering that! ;o)

This is how the government is supposed to work. Checks and balances and all that. We didn't elect a dictator after all and Bush will need to compromise and deal like anyone else.

The democrat leaders can bray and howl and be as stubborn as the jackasses they are...but Bush has them runnin' scared and lassoed.

The American people spoke loud and clear on Tuesday November 2, 2004...we want four more years of Bush's sterling leadership and he holds the reins of government in his strong and capable hands.

It would behoove the left to try to stifle their arrogant, pompous elitist ways and socialist whims, whimpy programs and whining diatribes which are so out-dated and have proven to be worthless and defunct.

Either follow the leadership of President Bush or get out of the way!

America is on the RIGHT TRACK.

Barbara Boxer won a decisive victory.
As did Chuck Schumer, Obama, Dodd, Mikulski, Reid, Patti Murray...a couple of others, more modeerate.

Next, look at the population base they represent as well as % of capital.

Arrogance is the groundswell for defeat.

"Checks and balances and all that. We didn't elect a dictator after all and Bush will need to compromise and deal like anyone else."

It's like, you know, dude, like, "checks and balances and all that" dude. It's like, you know, like "we didn't elect a dictator after all" like, totally so like, really, it's like, like "Bush will need to compromise and deal like anyone else."

Yo Mr./Mrs. Great Insight, The President did not veto anything in this first term and, yes, to the chagrin of many conservatives such as myself, spent more than we would like. The point is that The President has already shown his bipartisan savvy and with this overwhelming win (it's like, you know, dude, like it's like a MANDATE) now has the right to be more assertive and to expect that the embittered Dems don't continue to act like it's both pre-9/11, pre-Nov. 8, 2002 or that it is pre-Nov. 2, 2004.

Now I could be wrong but your tone comes across as if you didn't vote for W and to that I say...Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have a full list of the seats up for grabs in the Senate 2006 election? I think you're right that maybe Sheets will go and with the right opponent the Hildabeast as well.

You can't limit the agenda when you have over 60million americans behind you. Sorry loser Dems you either follow or get out of the way. Because "THE MAN" is in the office and he is holding all the trump cards.

Until a vacancy in the Supreme Court is an actual fact, Republicans should organize themselves and focus on helping keep Democrats in turmoil.

... until the new Senate is seated. In the interim, let the Dems cut cheese, head wind or back wind... their programs always stink.
