GOP TICKET '08

Michelle Malkin and Laura Ingraham.

I believe that Harold Ford will be Vice President for the Democratic Party. Hillary Clinton will be the presidential choice. What Hillary will do is moderate her leftist postions and fake out America to hide her radical beliefs.

Is she sincere? No. But the democrats will buy it and the democrats who crossed over for President Bush this time will go back and vote for Clinton-Ford.

Hillary Clinton will pull wool over the eyes of the voters, something Kerry failed to do successfully. Clinton will run as a moderate and will govern as a radical extremist.

Then, look for the Republicans to take back the White House in 2012 after the RATs make a mockery of our justice system, our economy, etc.

Yes, it's deja vu all over again.

What about Arlen Specter? That'd get him off the Judiciary Committee. :-)

I posted that earlier.

It's a great twosome, and the comedic possibilities for a ticket of Rice and Franks are endless.

And just HOW do you "know this"? Condi has NEVER made a statement about her stand on abortion at all.

My prediction is that neither candidate will break the 'traditional' mold; in other words, neither Hillary or Rice will be nominated.

"Condi has NEVER made a statement about her stand on abortion at all."

Good point and just. I usually assume that no position is fairly sound grounds for a position that is unpopular. To my knowledge, she has not stated a solid position, but her lack is equally telling. Like Colin Powell, she is what she is imagined to be by whatever faction of the electorate wants to claim her - in short, clever politics. In any event, her stance on many other issues makes her attractive as a candidate.

No, too many voters would see it as a Bush dynasty, a seat in the Senate might be nice.

Lets go to the Weekly Standard earlier this year: Much of the current debate about Rice's VP chances in 2004 revolves around her position on abortion and whether it will be palatable to conservatives. Rice has been pretty coy on the subject. And who can blame her? She's not a politician (yet)--she's a foreign policy wonk, for heaven's sake. In 1999, after stepping down as provost at Stanford to work for Bush's campaign, she told the San Francisco Chronicle that despite her devout Presbyterian background, she is a "pro-choice evangelical," and that "there's a lot of room in the middle [on abortion]. . . . I don't think Americans think abortion is something you do lightly." Later that year, she told National Review's Jay Nordlinger that she is "mildly pro-choice," and more generally, an "all-over-the-map Republican" whose views are "hard to typecast." We're not just hallucinating this.

Thanks for the reference. Still, it makes little difference. As long as she can deliver on electability, she's a fair choice. The bulk of her conservative credentials are still light years beyond Hillary's. If it comes down to it, who would you vote for?

I thought the same thing, until I pondered the possibility of Hitlery running. Anyone could easily argue these points.
