Legalize it. Why don't conservatives want to open this market to our economy?

Legalize it, put a whopping new tax on it for Social Security bail out, institute personalized social security accounts for people under.....fifty who elect to participate.

yeah, that's the ticket.

- I'm told by a police officer neighbor that there is no roadside test for cannabis intoxication. Want to go to court to watch a pothead walk free with a wave and a song after crushing your child with a 3,000 lb. weapon?

What makes you think their will be a market? Why should I buy dope from a store when I can get better stuff from my present connection??

No need to increase the users of an addictive substance and no need to provide a new source. There is plenty of dope now.

John

I am one of the few social conservatives that does want legalization. And I am no libertarian, either.

On this one issue, that leaves me homeless..LOL. I don't fit in with anyone:
I hate the fact that bottom-feeding commies are the ones that mostly support it. But I guess that is why I never vote according to my stand on this one issue...it would be morally impossible to support commie leftists and their baby-killing fascist anti-American agenda just because I am anti-prohibition.

Because we don't want folks having a three-joint lunch. The three martini lunch was bad enough. Bunch of dope heads.

I really see no harm in legalizing and taxing the hell out of it.

It is not addictive. And besides, the leftists would be too stoned to actually do anything, like..oh...vote?

Then again, so would alot of republicans (ducks)

You raise a good point. This would keep Michael Moore occupied for years. And with the munchies, he'd be too fat to leave the house.

It impairs learning, motivation, and productivity.

Our culture doesn't need another mechanism to convey to our youth that drugs are an acceptable form of recreation.

There is no upside.
And don't whine to me about law enforcement and prisons.
Rather, look at Holland, Norway, & Sweeden and tell me how many of their social problems you would like to import.

My brother died from ALS last December, so don't bother going down that road either.

Why don't conservatives want to open this market to our economy?

Let's seeeeee......

We like reality, we like our loved ones alive rather than killed by drunk and stoned drivers, we don't like living in single-wide trailers with other trash, we believe that every brain cell is precious, we are still "high" from the election, and we believe in handling our problems head on rather than hallucinating them away...

Got it now, POTHEAD!

Jail the illegal recreational users and allow use only to the sick and dying who need it.

Alcohol and tobacco produce lots of tax revenue and are big business. Marijuana is a weed which will grow anywhere, and thus will generate neither tax revenue nor business profit if anybody was allowed to grow it openly in his back yard
