I got a folksy saying for Dan Rather

Free Republic is "going to be all over you like a chicken on a June bug" until you retire to oblivion.

I don't want to see Blather retire. He's become a parody of himself, and his broadcasts now have the journalistic integrity of the Weekly World News. If he leaves, CBS will only replace him with some one just as much liberal bias, and we'll have to start the whole process of discrediting them from scratch....

I'm no Ed Bradley devote', but he does have a calming demeanor and listens well. He tries to be a man of few words used well, and on a path of logic. Dan Rather aught not snip at Bradley. He's got enough enemies. Adding to the list is not very smart.

SNL needs to create a Rather charicter for it's news desk on Weekend Update. A charicter with an endless supply of Ratherisms.

Rather will be gone by Thanksgiving IMHO.

" ... like a Muscovy duck on a slug."

I swear, a Muscovy duck can see a slug at 50 yards.
