The Erie County [New York] Sheriff's Department is now investigating threats and acts of vandalism against local Republican leaders and a local military recruiting office.
Rocks and bricks were thrown to shatter plate glass windows at the GOP Party Headquarters on Delaware Avenue in downtown Buffalo. A window was also shattered at the Armed Forces Recruiting Office on Sheridan in the town of Tonawanda and the lock to a back door was broken.
Police say there have also been threatening phone calls to some unspecified party officials at their homes.
Now a letter sent to a media outlet by a quote "Concerned Citizens" group claims responsibility for the attacks on the downtown GOP headquarters and the recruiters office.
The letter mentions various electoral issues like the wars in the Middle East, the Patriot Act, healthcare, and job outsourcing. It also states quote "We are the victims of this war, a war brought to us Concerned Citizens by the Republican administration."
The letter goes on to warn that "We encourage more people to raise their level of resistance and attack the ones who are sending us to our deaths."
The FBI has been asked to assist the investigation. Police say there could be charges ranging from harassment and criminal mischief to hate crimes if they determine who is responsible.

I expect more cases of domestic terrorism from the left. And the Republicans will be the targets.
To: NYpeanut
Though I detest hate crimes laws as nothing but the left's fascist attempts to criminalize non-PC thought, why not use this law to bite them on their respective violent peacenik red asses ?

Could we say terrorists among us??? I can't count how many threads I've said the exact same thing, even before the election!

This comes from the tolerant liberals.
You can't beat 'em in the marketplace of ideas so just destroy the marketplace.

From the DU:

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Police arrested 57 people Wednesday as nearly 2,000 protesters decried the re-election of George W. Bush and the continuing war in Iraq.
San Francisco police said the large demonstration that started around 5 p.m. was peaceful, but a smaller group of about 150 later splintered and marched through Civic Center and the Tenderloin.
Raucous demonstrators chanted "We're going to beat back the Bush attack, get the troops out of Iraq."
Anti-Bush signs were in abundance, proclaiming "Nov. 2, 2004 -- a sad day" and "Overthrow King Bush." One man held a sign that said "Stop mad cowboy disease."

12. SATURDAY - TURN OUT IN THE STREETS |
|
|
Somebody get this organized - SOMEBODY make this happen-
On Saturday, Nov. 6, there should be MASSIVE protests in the streets of every major city in America, PROTEST the Smirk's claim of a mandate and his promise to ERASE the 20th Century. There should be thousands of us in the streets this weekend, just like we did before the Iraq war, just as we did before the GOP convention. We need TV cameras to have a clear visual of just how many people there are who REFUSE to accept the destruction of Constitutional democracy. We need people shouting and screaming from podiums and through bullhorns. We need to make so much noise that they cannot ignore it. We need to see and hear thousands upon thousands of united voices. |

If they mess with Roe v Wade I am hitting the streets
1324263, Not necessarily true. Posted by WillW on Thu Nov-04-04 10:21 PM
There are many of us that own a respectable collection of firearms. My father and his old school labor radicals have more weapons than I care to think about.
That liberals don't own guns is a myth.
And yes, I do own an AK47.
1324355, They haven't got MY gun Posted by GarySeven on Thu Nov-04-04 10:29 PM
and I'd like to see them use the Patriot Act to try and get it.

The anti-gay threads that have popped up in this forum, and are still open as I write this?
Blaming the GAYS for the election loss and sugesting that we MUZZLE THEM or DRIVE THEM OUT of the party?

1324484, True it needs to stop. Posted by gordianot on Thu Nov-04-04 10:39 PM
If Kerry would have been given his votes (I do not acknowledge a loss) the Freepers would be threatening Civil War against Kerry.
No doubt about it Bush is pathological. In time the Freepers will begin to suffer as this nation spins out of economic control.
We are allowing wedge issues to divide us and we all need to get a grip.

Interesting look into the minds of the idiots on the left. All the sudden, they support the second amendment. And, they have illegal automatic weapons.

So much for tolerance and healing....
These people are sick and dangerous, the same people who wished breast cancer on Laura Bush after Liz Edwards was diagnosed.
Things could get awful interesting in the upcoming months, let's get the conservative judges appointed ASAP so that we can give these wackos the 5-10 year vacation they deserve!
To: NYpeanut
I suspect that most of these so-called protestors are under the age of 25. You see what happens when a parents rights to beat their kids is taken away. Spoiled little libs...the lot of them.

I just tried to hit DU and it can't resolve the server. For the last 48 hours it's been in 'lock-down' mode keeping out non-registered users. I wonder if they've outpaced their funding?

As a gun-toting, knuckle-dragging, red-neck 're-thuglican'
(who happened to spend a decade wearing green for Uncle Sam)
I can only laugh at these silly little kids talking about getting guns and starting riots.
'Fish in a barrel' doesnt come close to describing what would happen if they started rioting in the streets AND waving guns while doing it.
A report of a ARMED crowd in the streets would bring every Law Enforcement Officer that could get there.
(Even the off-duty ones, and from counties for miles around)
Not to mention the 'right-wing rednecks' who might volunteer themselves & their deer rifles that they are oh so very familiar with...ala
Charles Whitman
Armed liberals rioting in the street?
Geez! I can imagine the response's this would get at Ted Nugents forum....hahahahahahahahahaha
