How ludicrous is it that we had a legitimate war hero How ludicrous is it that we had a legitimate and genuine traitor and coward running as a "legitimate war hero".
LET'S GET THE DISHONARBLE DISCHARGE STORY, MEETING WITH THE ENEMY IN PARIS STORY, ETC. OUT NOW AND PUT THE STAKE IN THIS VAMPIRE ONCE AND FOR ALL!

He also credited the fact that the U.S. hadn't been attacked by terrorists since 9/11, calling it Bush's "ace in the hole."How convenient for us that Bush had this "ace in the hole". My God, I want to puke at this man's blatant stupidity.

Rendell is talking tactics here, but he has a point. The Swifties knocked Kerry off balance and he never recovered.
To balance it out -- also at a tactical level -- the 'rats stole a march with the 527's this year and, as a result, enjoyed a very substantial but artificial funding advantage. That won't happen again.

Why didn't the legitimate war hero sign his 180 form?

If that's true, then it's the best political contribution that I ever made. And Ed can thank Philadelphia native Chris Matthews for encouraging me to send them a contribution.

Playing UP the "war hero" angle and rehashing disproven "conspiracy" theories about President Bush's National Guard service (especially in light on Clinton's draft dodging AND winning against two WWII veterans who saw enemy combat) sank Kerry. They played up questionable behavior and downplayed his POST-SERVICE anti-war activity (protesting alongside Jane Fonda, meeting with Viet Cong in Paris, was leading an organization that plotted to assassinated elected Congressmen).
America knew that they were getting a snow job about his Vietnam service and they did not know what to believe about his post-service activity but they knew that it was bad enough that it overshadowed his service activities. They also suspected that it had to be "true" because the media would not touch it when the MSM would tackle far more trivial rumors (even just to dispell them). A month's coverage of the "bulge" in Bush's coat at the debate?
Benedict Arnold was a hero to both sides of his war as well.
John Kerry claimed that America had not been as divided as it is now in 30+ years. John Kerry was at the forefront of that dissent as well. He is a divider, not a uniter.
Reasons to vote for Kerry (as stated repeatedly in the MSM):
1 - Served in Vietnam ("was a war hero, akin to John F. Kennedy on the PT-109")
2 - 20 years in the Senate (authored no legislation, never was a leader, opposed Ronald Reagan at many key turns)
3 - He HAS a plan to win the war in Iraq
4 - He HAS a plan to win the war against terrorism/catch Bin Laden (at least reduce terrorist attacks down to a nuisance level akin to prostitution)
5 - He meets the criteria of being ANYBODY BUT BUSH
6 - Won the debates: "SEE MY WEBSITE for what I can't remember to give as a succinct response."
7 - Is an everyman actionman. See him snow ski, waterski, dance on Reagan's grave, eating at Wendy's, eating a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, throwing a football, throwing a baseball, tossing a basketball, holding a rifle, drinking a beer, hangin' with the rocket scientists at NASA, playing bass in a band, standing next to John Lennon with a crowd of other people on the street (why he could almost BE a Beatle)...
There were a lot of ROCK ACTS AGAINST BUSH on store shelves and on tour. Where were the original pro-Kerry songs? Not songs ADAPTED/CO-OPTED by the Kerry campaign, but actually written FOR Kerry? There were plenty written AGAINST Bush. Seems at least ONE Kerry supporter should have been motivated to sing about why they love Kerry. Then again, despite all the punk songs against Ronald Reagan, no one had a hit with a song loving Walter Mondale, Jimmy Carter, or Michael Dukakis.

"How ludicrous is it that we had a legitimate war hero running against someone who didn't serve in Vietnam and that that became a liability for us." "Legitimate war heroes" willingly sign their 180 disclosure forms, without attempting to hide the shameful details of their less-than-honorable discharges.
I'm just sayin'. :)

Two of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth won the Congressional Medal of Honor. You don't get one of those by writing up your own medal requests and after-action reports.
None of the Swifties opposed to Kerry lied about combat injuries to get an early out. These were the real heroes who kept their oaths and did their duty.
America's POWs suffered more in any given day than John Kerry did in his entire tour. But they didn't get an "early out." John Kerry's "anti-war" activities actually prolonged their stay in hellish North Vietnamese prisons. These brave men attest -- from their first-hand knowledge -- the aid and comfort John Kerry gave the enemy and what it cost America in lives and pain. It is compelling testimony.

He doesn't explain how Karl Rove conspired with UBL to hold off on terrorist attacks until after the election. Give 'em time. I read where some are blaming Rove for the exit poll numbers fiasco.

Katie Couric. "How ludicrous is it that we had a legitimate war hero... Katie, honey, your side told us for 30 years that Vietnam was a "criminal" war and now you call Kerry a "legitimate war hero". What a joke. If the Republican candidate had served in Vietnam you would have called him a war criminal.
P.S. Did she really forget to pretend to be neutral and say "...WE had legitimate war hero..."

I must say this is getting really entertaining.
All the mudslinging, name calling, and blame game is reaching a crisis of "Biblical" proportions (pun intended).
I just happened to peek over at DU, they've divided into factions, even pro and anti-gay factions. It's hysterical.
They have a forum for "the angry" and for those that need "consolation." They also have conspiracy theories that should be featured on the Art Bell show.
Can't wait till Terry McAuliffe shows his face...who will he blame for Kerry's defeat?

It was a lot of the things that cost Kerry the election, mainly Kerry being Kerry but the Swifties do have to get a lot of credit. We love you Swifties--for what you did long ago and for what you did today.

"..the former Democratic National Committee chairman blamed The Swiftboat Veterans and POWs for Truth." Boy, I hope so. I've never felt better about contributing to a cause in my life. Every time a scumbag like Tad Devine or Terry McAwful would unload on the Swift Boat Vets I felt compelled to make another donation.
